Just recently the Outside bar on the Passenger Tail Light stopped lighting bright for braking, signal, and flasher. Running light is fine. Took it into the dealer (they witnessed the issue) and in just the short time they pulled it into a bay and the car started to warm up, everything went back to normal.

So this looks like it might be a temp issue. It had been doing this consistently for about a week temps in the single digits at night and low teens to 20 during the day.

Anyone in the colder states experience anything like this? Just for my own piece of mind, as soon as it gets warm enough, I am going to pull apart the tail light connector and check connections as well as add a little dielectric grease to contacts.

Last winter the middle bar on my left tail light went out randomly (accompanied by the faster turn signal clicking noise like a bulb was out) after a service appointment. After about 2 hours it then randomly came back on all on it's own. The issue never returned.

My 15 did that just once, the outside bar on the R side would not illuminate on a turning. What alerted me to it was the blinker on the dash was acting funny, flashing fast/intermittently. Corrected itself, never did it again.

My '15 has been doing this as well for the past couple of months. Sometimes it will be completely fine, then other times I will start it up and the middle bar on the driver side will not illuminate for indicators or braking. If I then restart the car, it will return to normal.

Other people have had this issue before too. I have read on a couple of threads that it could be caused a low battery (mine is sitting around 11.5V when the car is off, which is definitely too low).
I have also read that the BCMB needs to be recalibrated for all cars made before 4/22/15, and that fixed the issue for some people. Maybe the low battery messes with the BCMB and it then needs to be reprogrammed? Not sure haha

Did you ever figure out what was causing it?

My right side taillight stopped working for a morning when my battery was going bad. My car was built in 2014 as well.
