I don't know how anyone compares a Shelby to a Roush or Saleen? Not in the same ballpark even.

how does it "not" compare.... its using the roush engineered supercharger and calibration... It has a bunch of ground effects and bumper differences, and some suspension upgrades....

This is rough salon and this for sure... same type of deal...

rough salon ??

Whats a rough salon, ?

And the reason I think a Shelby is way better, I think from all I can find they hold there value much better even in some cases go up in value.

And its a Shelby, cool logos, cool history. I understand everyone likes something different, but haven't I read about some severe issues with some of the Roush add on parts, like the hood scoop buckling and the side scoop falling off and on and on.

I think the Shelby used a bunch of Carbon Fiber Parts, less weight and the hood like it or not is a complete new hood. Carbon Fiber too.

Even the back panel where It would say GT, not the Shelby Logo is Carbon Fiber and looks nicer than the current stock panel to me.

The new Ford GT350 is the real deal!!

Unfortunately...Shelby America as a company no longer matters...their best days are behind them...you can only sell nostalgia for so long...

I purchased 2 of their vehicles in the last 10 years...quality control was horrible...spent thousands to sort out both of the vehicles...learned my lesson...never again!

Overpriced tuner S550 Mustangs are dying bread...

So will the Ford GT350 not be considered a shelby? ..I thought the 2014 GT500 were considered shelbys:confused:

Ive read tons of good reviews from owners and pros?

Seems like your in the minority on that complaint?

And the tuners are dead comment, you gotta be kidding me, that's a good one.

it has an engine!
Yea and your car might end up a mismatched mess with no warranty and most likely no value above current GT Value for USED.

Yea do that,
I don't care about warranty, im building a drag car. It will not be a mismatched mess, ive built 4 drag mustangs, all of them but one ran 8s. The other a 14 gt500 ran 9s.:) I care about fun, not resale value. If I cared about resale value id buy a Toyota.

Yes you can put all those goodies on yourself for less but I don't think in 30 years it would be the same. I know a lot of people have claimed the age of collector value cars is past but I don't agree.
I can pick and choose exactly which goodies to add . . . and just as importantly, which ones to avoid frittering away money on.

I don't even pay attention to resale value when I buy a car. If I've done my shopping right, I'm going to want to keep whatever car I'm about to buy long enough to where it'll hardly matter. Batting a thousand so far . . .

Yea do that,
So what you're saying is that unless you're employed by Shelby (or any other tuner, for that matter), you have zero chance of putting together your own co-ordinated package for the way you're going to use your car? Sorry, but I disagree. FWIW, I'd start with wider wheels than what Shelby is fitting and go from there.

I wouldn't count on having warranty coverage for problems encountered while driving a Shelby off on a track where you can legally use somewhere near all of its capabilities.

This car seems to be getting no love and it's insane. 650 Shelby ponies for 60k in a car that already handled awesome stock. I would bet this Car is as fast or faster than a gt350 around a track. The 350r is most likely still faster but this is a beast for the $$ and it looks nice I think.
It's a nice car for the right kind of person. You may be that right person. I'm not and I have a pretty good idea why.

My money is on the GT350. Doubling down if we're talking about laps toward the end of a 20 minute or longer session in the summer.

I rather have my old Shelby GT back with 319 Horsepower and paid off! I think the new ones are cool, but a bit pricey. You do have to worry about quality control with the Shelby's like rattling exhaust, faded and spotted stripes, and warped hood scoops. I was on my 2nd scoop before I sold it to get the 15 GT PP.

It is also true you do have to worry about mileage. Mine had 12,000 miles when I sold it and it was a 2007.

Shelby's are cool and very well respected. The best and most respected Mustang you can buy. However, I purchased mine when old Man Shelby was still alive. A little different now, I suppose.

It was a keeper no matter the problems. To be included in the Registry and have CSM # was awesome. Sorry I sold it.

However, Love getting in the S550 and going without a care about mileage.
