I noticed that 2015 premium have a icon in their side mirrors. Is this for blind spot? I thought only 2016 have the blind spot icon. The icon is different for 2015/2016

2015 401A premium pkg comes with blind spot and cross traffic alert, among other things.

Yep. I like BLIS. I still use the mirrors and look. But BLIS is a good backup.

And I like how if you're backing up and the radar picks up an oncoming car, it warns you. I've got that warning a bunch of ties before I've even had time to turn and look.

All this technology might be catching on. But I remain opposed to electric vehicles.

on the left is the old style and the icon indicates that they are heated mirrors.

the icon you see now (and that orange dot) is to warn you of cars in your blind spot.

I like the BLIS and backup warning stuff. Its not a replacement for awareness and looking but it can catch stuff you cant see, like the jerk blasting through a parking lot that you can't see through an SUV.

I also have this and it's part of the 401a package/option. It's nice but like everyone else i still use my mirrors and turn around. Also when backing up in a parking lot if someone drives behind you it will alert you pretty handy, happened to me at the dealer right before i drove it off the lot after buying. And i don't have the reverse sensors which i thought would be required for something like that.

And another aesthetics thing is that you don't have the double mirror thing.

It's not part of the 401a package. My car isn't 201a which is EB equivalent to 401a and has the little mirrors. I don't have any other reverse sensing systems either.

It's actually part of the 401a package and 201a package i have a 2016 so i checked the 2015 brochure i have and it's listed in there. Also if you build on fords website, either premiums GT or EB it displays BLIS under the 2 packages.

Also i double checked etis for my VIN and it shows Blind Spot Detection. http://www.etis.ford.com/vehicleSelection.do

You may want to double check if you have it and if you do then you might have to do some digging to find out why. Also another way to check is on the car settings there is a way to turn it off. So if the option is there im assuming you should have the other mirrors
