FYI guys found this out from Deysha:

"Orders will start scheduling again around the second week of September. Vehicles should start arriving at dealers around end of October or beginning of November."

I thought the order type (1 or 2) was the indicator as to whether an order was placed as retail or stock. Perhaps RisingForce or MustangChief can confirm this - I asked Tricia this question and she referred me to my dealer.

Order type is different from order priority. There are more types than 1 and 2, for example fleet is 0 if I remember correctly.

Right - that's what I was trying (albeit not well) to point out, that there's also order type to consider, along with order priority.

Order update

Finally got to see my order [placed July 15] show up on the Ford Tracking website as having been entered into Ford's In Order Processing. No VIN
yet, but seeing my order there at least makes it seem like less of a phantom!

My sales agent also emailed me today [Aug 21] the following:

"I also wanted to let you know that our Ford factory rep was at our dealership yesterday [August 20] and told us the scheduled start date for 2015 Mustang builds is Sept 9th. Your Mustang will be the first built from our dealership..."

Which made my day.

Mine's priority 10, type 1 as well - and AFAIK, it's a retail order. Just waiting like everyone else. :shrug:

Anybody knows why another car is showing up in cotus With my order code and dealer code. It shows is was ordered yesterday but I ordered it on 7/29. Glitch maybe?

Dealers can use the same order code for multiple orders.

The Ford Order Tracking website had NO record of my order--because, as I later found out, I had been entering the order number as listed on my copy of the Dealer's Vehicle Order Confirmation--which proved to be the wrong number, (as my sales agent explained):

"The Vehicle Order Confirmation that you signed shows the generic order number that we insert when we build out a vehicle for pricing . *The [actual!] order number and priority number are assigned when we place the factory order..."

"Any factory order always defaults to a Priority 19 . The priority can be manually changed by the person placing the order and *is dependant on how many orders are already in place . However , there are also many other factors that can affect build date of an ordered vehicle . Sometimes the priority can have an affect on the build date and sometimes not . *The system is complex , but works well .

Your vehicle actually has a priority 12 and at this time will be the first one to be picked up from our dealership when they start scheduling..."

So be sure to contact your Dealer to find out whether or not you have in hand the actual order number that was sent in to Ford.

I've ordered a couple Mustangs. All from the same dealer. The DORA is what I always ask for and get from them it's the Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgement. If I'm not mistaken this is what the dealer gets back from FORD confirming the order . It will contain your actual order number and the dealerships code. This is what you need as far as I know ask for the DORA not the VOC . I'm no expert I just know that all the info about your car order should be on the DORA . I always check the DORA to see that everything is correct as it's usually what you'll be getting . After that I wait for the VIN then look forward to the window sticker . You can always check to see that the sticker is correct too . To me it's like steps . Step 1 DORA Step 2 waiting for the VIN Step 3 Window Sticker (which then usually has your build week) Step 4 production Step 5 Shipping I don't mind the wait at all it's just those steps :ford:

I think it's 8-26-14 look above where it shows blend . I am not certain of this someone with more experience correct me if I'm wrong but that is what I think it means . Can you see 2014 look to the right of that where it has blend written
