Am I in the twilight zone or something? Whats this talk about awaiting a JOB2 date for Fastback/Coupe Production? I though JOB2 was to be be when Convertible Production was to begin? What is Ford up to? JOB3 now for the Convertibles? "Tricia" where are you?
I'm super confused too . I would love some info on the build date . Heck a VIN would even make me happy

I don`t need your Email or Phone Number since I`m located in South Florida. I just would appreciate when a (legitimate) 2015 Mustang Convertible Order can be placed thats going to be real, not just a proposal for an eventual build when JOB #2 is finally announced for Convertibles and when the Unscheduled Order Bank finally opens up to place (real) orders with prices. Thanks.
Phil
Phil, I order all the Fords & Lincolns for the dealership I work for. I've been ordering vehicles for 15 years here. I successfully ordered a '15 Mustang GT Convertible and its status is currently unscheduled, although it is currently on "material hold" since they are building/scheduling convertibles yet. Pricing is already available for convertibles.

This 2015 Mustang "Convertible" thread has been chewed on, spit out and still (not) digested. When my Salesman finally calls me and tells me he can place a Convertible Order that is "clean" without a "material hold" in the Unscheduled Order Bank, I`ll finally place my Order. He`s the Commercial Fleet Manager at one of the largest Ford Dealerships in SE Florida. Until then, I`m just going to chill out and have resigned myself to a late Spring delivery. Personally, all this (hype) too me at least, is overkill. Just saying......

Yep, pricing is available when you spec it out. But even when you put your order in for a convertible in concepts, the print outs we get daily for dora does not include any printed pricing like normal clean orders do.

Thank you, voice of reason! Hope "Five Oh Brian" reads your Post and we can finally bury this Convertible thread until a "normal (clean) order" can eventually be placed.

How come I see other people have their build dates ?? . But I talked to my ford guy and he says there's no way anyone could have a build date till Sept. 11th . I ordered my new stang in May . And am still waiting for a at least a hint of when I may get it .

It depends on the priority code. Most people here ordered as priority 10 which means retail. This is what your ford guy is propably talking about. Some of our cars were ordered as dealer stock, priority code 20 which means they will get their production started and build date earlier. (Production for stock cars started on Monday).

Read through the entire thread for examples.

Short answer - some purchasers have made agreements with dealers to have them place stock orders (lot cars) with their configuration. Most customer custom configured cars are placed as retail orders and none of those have been pulled out of the unscheduled order bank yet. Current projection is that some mix of custom and stock orders will be pulled when the order banks are turned on again. Latest date on that is the week of 9/9.

Priority code does not necessarily indicate whether you have a stock or a retail order. I have a stock order and my priority was 11. You can read about priority codes here:

http://www.greenhybrid.com/discuss/f61/ford-dealer-discusses-orders-allocation-19747/

As for the question, the dealer was probably referring to retail orders. Currently Ford is only building dealer stock orders. I was lucky and my dealer used one of his allocations to build my order (which is scheduled to be built next week.) It may sit on the lot for several weeks before it is shipped, but it will be one of the first batch arriving in North East Florida :headbang:

It depends on the priority code...
Several forum members have posted that the priority code does not tell you if an order is retail or stock. That information is encoded separately in the order. A dealer may decide to use codes 20+ for stock orders and 10+ for retail orders but the number itself doesn't automatically translate to retail/stock.

Best advice is to ask Tricia (@FordService) or your dealer how your order was placed - the priority number isn't enough to tell where you stand in line or what type of order was placed.

FYI guys found this out from Deysha:

"Orders will start scheduling again around the second week of September. Vehicles should start arriving at dealers around end of October or beginning of November."

Sorry if this is old info but just started to catch up after placing my order! :headbang:
