so my sales guy tells me that ford doesn't use DORAs or VOCs anmore and all he gave me was an order number and told me he can send me screen shots when there is a change in my order. Was everyone else able to get a DORA? I just want to know my priority number.

I have ordered my ecoboost premium race red, pp with recaro leather on 7-17-14 but still no build date or delivery date. I do have vin number though. Is anyone else stuck in order processing?
Now that you have a VIN the process will begin soon. Soon you will see a Estimated delivery date and a countdown timer on COTUS. Then a week away from your build date you will see it go into production and your window sticker will appear on COTUS the next day. Mine appeared this morning.

Then that is a problem. Did you call your salesman to give you a Build week. Once you have that you have a better idea when COTUS will update.

Same here! Order on 10/23. Got my VIN on 10/30, but all had stopped. Spoke with sales rep. Absolutely no help. Stated it was way to early for to build or ed date to be provided. I did however get in touch with ford services and was informed that my build date is in the beginning of Dec. My question is, HOW? I've order a v8 with the Perf. Pkg, 401a, all the bells and whistles inside. You would think a higher sticker would mean a quicker turnaround, no?

Nope. In fact depending on supplies it could take longer, because of plant constraints. Ford's scheduling system is not first in -first out. Lots of variables, but that sounds about right as far as where I'm hearing everyone who just got a VIN. The average car takes about 8-10 weeks from order to delivery. There are a lot of horror stories on here that will tell you how long their wait has been. Just hoping we all get our cars soon.

I know, right? Don't know how the production is scheduled at Ford. May be its because I ordered the base package with no added features except the enhanced security package.

I'm sure you'll get yours soon. Hang in there girl

My order was placed on October 2nd and I received a VIN on 10/30. My dealer said i have a build date of 12/15. My question is will I see this car before mid January? I was told that the plant goes on a 2 week holiday shutdown after 12/19.

Wow! Quite a collection! Let us know how the EcoBoost drives compared to the 98 and 04 when you get it. I bought my daughter a low mileage V6 2000 convertible as her first car years ago, and it always felt like it was on tippy-toes when I drove it: high center of gravity, not connected to the road at all. Wide Michelins didn't help.

I work at a ford Dealership so I have driven all the new mustangs. The GT is Amazing! The EcoBoost is very nice, Not super quick on the low end, My 2004 Feels quicker but everything I have read says the 1/4 mile time is about the same, I guess thats good considering one is a V8 GT and one is a 4 cyl EcoBoost that gets 32 MPG on the Hwy. It breaks my Heart but Im selling the 2004 GT. should sell quick. its very clean with low miles.
