I saw 19 people (so far) had responded as ordering a Limited Edition 2015. I am one of them and the deal I made with my dealer was that price was subject to a "market adjustment". Just trying to figure what everyone is paying for. if you could, please vote and leave a note a bout where you ordered from so we can get an Idea of what the cost in different regions.

In my personal opinion anyone spending more than MSRP is asking for big-time negative equity. To think this car will appreciate in value or be some kind of collectors item anytime soon is foolish. Most of the people this model appeals too will be dead before it might be worth anything in 25 years. Dealers will ask what they want and I'm sure we'll see some crazy markups. Who knows if they'll actually sell for that or be showroom displays.

MSRP is a solid deal for both the buyer and the seller. Anything more is pure greed on the part of the dealer looking for a quick cash in.

That is kind of a big assumption and not sure how true it is. I am just guessing but I doubt anyone paying MSRP or above is doing so because they think it will appreciate or hold value. To some people, exclusivity alone is worth that price.

Also, I get your point that the LE has heritage cues that might determine the demographic interested in it, but to say this model appeals only to old guys is probably way too general. It's not like it is an entirely different design- I'm thinking a lot of the older hardcore Mustang faithful have not yet fully embraced the S550 to begin with. But I'd be interested in knowing what the ages are of those that have already ordered the LE (and to the bring it back on topic, what they paid for it).

I don't consider myself old, but maybe some of you out there will... I turned 35 this year. I bought a 1990 LX 5.0 convertible as my first car and I still have it today. That's a 25th anniversary, even though ford didn't do anything besides label the badge "25 Years" on the dash. Some day i'll buy a '64 1/2-'65 and hopefully i'll live to buy a 75th anny. It's about the car, not the eventual value, which will only go down over time.

Market adjustment means you will pay above sticker.

Sticker on mine, auto, including delivery is 48,190$. That's all I'm paying through my dealer.

99.999999% of all cars are negative equity....so say financial advisers. I say BS, because there are many intangibles. I bought a mini van in 1990 and told my financial adviser I just invested in a new car, he ripped my butt for 15 minutes how new cars are not investments. In my letter to his company explaining why I dumped them, I consider anything that contributes to my well being an investment, so keeping the young kids separated on long family trips was indeed a huge gain. Being able to haul almost anything a pick up could and keep it dry was a plus and I went on and on. So I say to you Mr. Like a Boss, the value I get from my LE will be of great personal satisfaction. I don't care about the financial side as I can afford the luxury. (just like steak, do you get T-Bone or Round Steak, same nutrition, just one tastes better IMO) I did pay a small token over invoice, but the dealer came off his price greatly when he saw my Daughters letter to Ford. I'm in it for under 50Gs. Thankfully I didn't win the Ebay auction I bid 61K on.

I'd bet money the median age for the 50TH LE is over 50.

Sounds like a good deal for both parties. Congrats & don't forget to vote! :)

I certainly understand the enjoyment factor as you can tell from the list of Stangs I've owned. It's just my personal opinion that paying over MSRP for what amounts to an appearance package is foolish. It's your money and if you're happy then that's all that matters.

Can someone please pm me ASAP if they know of any dealers asking around $7k or less + msrp? I was one of the first to inquire about the limited editions but dealers have screwed me over for a month by asking for ridiculous markups. I really just want one to go along with my dad's 65.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Well, it is more than appearance to me, its the only way I can get the performance package. I can only operate a clutch for a short time before my hip goes out. A product of the military, although I'm classified as a DAV, I'm far from disabled, I just can't do everything most people can all of the time. Driving a stick is easy by speed shifting, but I won't do that to a new car.

BTW, I'm under 50.... for a few weeks anyhow
