Grats! When did you place your order and when did you receive your DORA?

I ordered my car Jun 05, never got a DORA, just a VOC . I got back from Hong Kong and my dealer called earlier today. So from order to VIN 3 months.

It all depends on the weather, if it's early enough in Nov. I will take I80 all the way home, if it's later and the weather start to look too cold then I40 to Vegas than home. Any one with suggestions of any winding roads I can take along the way?

does any one know about future allocations this year. Will Ford release more allocations or do the dealers have all this years allocations?

it would seam that the allocations and the timing of orders the factory has about 3 months of orders, thus more allocations after the first of year. Is that possible or ?

looking to order early next year with a Estimated del of March or so

Dealers have all the allocations they'll get for most of this model year. Meaning into next summer. Once Ford completes all the orders they get from those allocations, they'll see about granting extra allocations to fill out the remainder of the model year. Don't expect dealers to randomly get more in January.

I know of 3 local Ford dealers that say they have allocations confirmed by their local Ford rep for the 2016 MY but still cannot seem to get a VIN let alone a projected build date for their cars?

I would suggest that with the way that everything is going at Dearborn and Flat Rock regarding these new Shelby GT350 cars nothing is cut in stone and that includes the release date for the 2015 cars, production numbers for the 2016 MY, allocation to Ford dealerships and scheduled production dates?

There is no question that there is mass confusion at various levels at Ford regarding these vehicles and it only gets worse when any of us try to obtain some intelligent answers/information from the dealership level?

Obviously it will all work out in the end but in the mean time there are a lot of us enthusiasts that have endure this emotional roller coaster!

Well said. what kills me is, originally I thought I would see this car in
mid winter, I actually had enclosed trailer lined up to take it home.
Then I get vin and build date, hey I say a chance I could see this and early Nov.
I could get a few spins in before snow
Of course we all know what has happened in last few weeks :(
Know I have no faith in build dates, delivery or anything.
Also I read here daily, this is worse than waiting for your first child LOL.

Based on 5000 cars a year, that means building 95 cars a week.
Based on info here, if building in order of Vins. about 500 week of 5th
another 500 week of 12th.
Guess what, not happening, so some or all of us are getting pushed off again.
ARRRRRRRRRGGGGG.

That assumes a maximum production capacity of 95 cars a week and linear production rate. Bad assumptions.

I hope Ford takes the time necessary to do things right. It just allowed the media to test drive the cars. It is hard to imagine they would have shipped cars to owners before that happened. It seems to me from their standpoint things are on schedule. My dealer told me when I ordered the car (my order was placed the first day order banks opened) that according to him I shoudn't expect the car before November. naturally I interpreted that as September

That's what I thought too, I asked them the next day if they'd notify me when the DORA was received. My rep is awesome, tiny dealership so they're very personable. He let me know as soon as the DORA came in, then this morning with the VIN.

Well checked in with dealer and build date remained the same, so hopefully
not pushed back any further.
