A competent shop should be able to fit them up, but they will have a few hours labor in making sure they fit correctly and figuring up the bends in the pipe. It won't necessarily be cheap.

Having friends that are fabricators comes in handy for this lol

Nice, I have 11/12 gt500 muffler on my s550 too. I didn't think anyone else out there hd them also. I had my shop do 3" from the cats back ( actually right at the cats) with a custom h-pipe. I think this is the best setup. Nice sound and absolutely no drone.

in it for $480 shop cost for labor and 3" tubing with custom hpipe and $140 for the mufflers.

That sounds awesome....I picked up a set off of eBay after hearing yours...I have an H-pipe though
Theoretically an H-Pipe should sound deeper with less rasp. Also should not provide any high end torque gain but better low end than an H-Pipe.

Clips pleeeeeeaaaaaaaaasssssseeeee.

This sounds great. Ive been looking for something with low end rumble but isnt too loud and doesnt induce rasp or that high end timbre. Closest ive seen is the ARH cat back but this plus an H pipe may do well.

Let me just take a moment to say YESSSSSSS. My dreams have come true. I was beginning to think I'd be the first person to do this with an x pipe. It sounds 10/10 just like I thought it would. Thank you for taking the time to document and video this setup!

Anybody know which manufacturer made these mufflers for the GT500? I had them on my '11 GT as well.

I would love to hear a S550 with the 13-14 GT500 quad tips also.
I am working on my 13 GT500 Quad tips for my Roush valance now. I hope to have it done soon.

dev1360 Did the tips get cut too as mine are really long. Maybe the difference between the rear covers on the 13 gt500 and the regular GT I guess. But when I had mocked them up under my car my quads are OUT THERE!
