Might need to add a bit of fluid if there’s harsh shifting in other gears as well. There’s also a few TSB’s out there for harsh shifting, solved with an update and relearn at the dealership. I believe the big 10R80 thread has those TSB’s posted, that sounds like most likely need in your case. It unfortunately does require a trip to a dealer.

Ford tsb 22-2428, you will need a valvebody overhaul and the new designed cdf drum.
All 2017-mid 2022 10r80s will have to have a new designed cdf drum.
