I have the same set up as you, with both the 93 and E85 tune. The e85 tune definitely showed better numbers at the track. I ran into issues with the e85 in colder weather, so I had to go to the 93 tune. I’m not noticing anything big with that. The transmission shift points were greatly improved, but I didn’t see any real noticeable gains in power. If you have e85 stations and are in the south, go with e85.

when you say issues with e85 in colder weather do you mean on cold starts?

Exactly. It would run a little rough for the first few seconds as well. Running e85 for me just wasn’t practical since I only had one gas station that had it near me. Also, since I store it in the winter months, I was a little leery about keeping the ethanol fuel in the system for 4 months.

With a 93 octane tune you won't see too much of a gain. Maybe 15-20 whp. The Gen 3 coyote is already designed to run 93 effectively and is already pretty maxed out. You'll see a bigger difference on e85. Most Gen 3 10 speeds walk hellcats with a CAI, exhaust, and tune :like:

Yeah those e85 10 speeds are monsters. I should probably get a flex tune tune in my case but then again I don’t ever race people and probably won’t take my car to any tracks or even the drag strip. I just loving having fun on my own time and would like the car to be woken up a bit. I think I’ll go for a 93 tune in the future
If you're just looking for the car to be woken up then you'll like the 93 tune. The throttle response and shift pressure will be increased. In addition, if you throw some lighter, wider wheels on then you'll have a very peppy powerful car!

I can’t speak for anybody else but myself but if I raced my 2019 GT with my Lund 91/93 tune against my stock M1 the GT would beat it 0-60. Quarter mile I don’t know but maybe yes. The GT in track mode is the best fun I’ve ever had in a looooong time. I’m not huge horsepower but just comparing the two.

Recently I did my first 60-130 mph run. It was clocked at around 12 secs flat. I had a full tank of gas with the AC on low on a pretty uneven road for a true, accurate 60-130 run, but just wanted to record my first vid doing a pull. Also didn’t roll into it and just floored it around 60. Run was pretty mediocre but I’ve taken my car to 120+ a few times so far and as soon as it hits 7th gear aka 120 mph it short shifts at like 6700 rpm.. I find this very odd

I will note these runs were pulled off at a race track in Mexico
12 seconds? Damn. On just an e85 tune with my base GT (3.15) I ran a best recorded time of 8.7.

I have a vid from last night where I rolled into it and did 60-118 in 8.8 secs with over 3/4 of gas in the tank. So that 12 second run I did was just pretty trash. Same road too but cooler temperature, humidity was awful last night though
60-118 in 8.8 is probably in the 11s to 130. Takes longer than you think to do 120-130. Whats your DA?

That original run also was just me flooring it at 59 mph and not rolling it to it. I need to get a decent run in with less than 1/2 tank in decent weather while rolling into it to really see get a solid baseline before the tune
Depending where in Illinois I'm seeing DA over 3000ft, so yeah you're slowed down quite a bit.

Anyway, to answer your original question - starting in 2nd gear and around 45mph, in good DA, you should already be running low 10s if not high 9s. Every run is different. If AdvanceTrac kicks in, you can add a whole second to your time.

Just get the 93 tune if you're committed to running 93. I noticed a difference on the Lund 93 tune as we were in the works to a full E85 tune. But if you want to run 8s for sure with no other mods, go E85.
