We racers and real performance enthusiasts need to start a "High Octane Snob" subforum on here, where most of this important stuff can actually be discussed.

Mike, you are being too hasty. Most people on here daily drive their car and probably will never modify as much as you anticipated you would yours. I love the 5.0 Mustang-Fox and Coyote and would never trade either for anything else. I am trying the new Ecoboost as a daily driver and my biggest worry is that I don't mod it too far. Lots of people are still snowed in and no drag racing/development is going on now. But wait until summer time.

In the heydays of Pro Imports(part of NHRA at 1 time) 2.0 Ecotec 4 cyl., as run by John Lingenfelter was pumping out as much as 1400 hp and running low 7's. I have no doubt we'll be seeing Ecoboosts running those numbers within 2 years on a full-on race car and 10's in street cars.

I heard a rumor today from a guy that I know is friends with Lethal Performance's owner, and he said their car is in the 10s already. Obviously it's only a rumor as they haven't said anything officially and I haven't seen videos or time slips, but if you're discouraged you might want to hit up Lethal Performance and see if they'll spill some beans on what they have going on. Maybe it'll provide some encouragement, competition or something.

NO. A feat like that would have raw footage from someone at the track. Hence how Ford Racing knew about our 11.80 at SEMA BEFORE we told anyone...someone snitched on us lol.

I did say it was a rumor. No need to get all defensive, we all know you're the greatest ecoboost tuner ever....
