My bank balance took a beating after those wheels and tyres!

Despite being a car guy since I was a teen, I have never really been into "modding", I have always preferred the OE look, hence the choice of wheels. But..................it seems once you start changing things, the more you want to change. I'm starting to enjoy my car in a different way now.

I REALLY want a GT350R steering wheel now!

My new wheel DFB , can't wait to get it fitted.

No it is supplied complete yo your requirements , i
will just rebox the original in the padded box this came in. I like it, it would probably be a better fit for a twister orange car but it's the only orange they hadand it's better than the red on the GT350r wheel so it will stay. It's more about the tactile feel than looks for me as the FPV ones on my BA BF GTs were similar and i liked them immensely.

I seem to recall in the early days of 18+ cars Ray from EPM was requesting wheels be sent to him. I know in my case with another supplier they purchased my old wheel back from me.

They should just take the OEM wheel off, remove the wiring and horn button etc which goes onto the new wheel and then fit it all to the car. You then just store the OEM wheel.

I'm not completely sure what I'm going to do with my old wheels. At the very least I want them clean before I either sell or store them. Hopefully, this will be the last time I wash and detail them!

Washed with Brake Buster un-dilluted to strip the coating off them, then followed up with an iron remover.

I also clayed the wheel face, spokes and barrels.

Once dried, I took the opportunity to give them a polish. With all those spokes, it was time consuming and fiddly.

I wasn't chasing perfection, just wanting to restore some clarity and shine. I also gave them a coat of Bead Maker for some added shine and protection.

And with that, so concludes my long and strained affair with S550 PP1 wheels.

You're right, i have a mate with a workshop who says he will do it and i just have to wait as i want it done without fuss. Ray Gao was great and 3 weeks from order to delivery to your door was brilliant. You wont regret it.
