Pretty nice beating on someone’s car that is not yours.
Fastest lap was 1:13:08 which they said was a good lap time especially since I had never driven the course.
Definitely have room for improvement.
MSR next weekend should be good.
They said it has a tune and is around 800 HP. I’m guessing that’s a crank number not at the wheel. I could not tell much difference from mine on the old butt dyno.
It’s a base car and I did not check to see what tires it’s running. I should have. I also forgot to ask what the numbers on the alignment are.
I hit about 135 mph on the front stretch when the instructor let me brake later and later as the session progressed. I only glanced down once near the end for curiosity sake. The braking point is a very conservative distance and the car had no issue getting down to cornering speed. The instructor also has a brake on his side and he will use it so no braking too late and over shoot a corner.
They also have you use the paddle shifters in M mode. 3rd gear most of the track then 4th and once 5th on the front stretch on my last lap. On my last lap he had me shift into 2nd for the last left hander. Other than that, 3rd gear.
I don’t know what speed I hit on the last lap but guessing closer to 140 with the down shift to 2nd and going into 5th.
