A few things to consider that make a difference. Do your run w less than a quarter tank, ac off, windows up, try learning how to brake boost. Do it when your air temp is low like night or morning and when your car is warm but fresh.

Consistently getting 6.5. I have a Premium, Perfromance Pack, Airaid CAI, Bama 93 Race Tune, Auto. Tried different RPM launches, tried at night, but still can't even get what some people are posting for stock times here. Any idea's? It was running 7.5 consistently before the Bama tune.
What are the temps you're running in. Are you trying after cruising through town or idling for a bit ? If you're heat soaked your times will not be great,it happens quick btw. Iam hitting 5.0-5.1 with just a tune.pp premium auto.iam sure it could go quicker on decent road,I haven't tried more than a handful of times on a crappy pitted road though.

I just found this forum, love it!

So I got a Manual PP and finally got a 5.9 bone stock! I know I can do better. It registered a .94 on the acceleration gauge. Launching is really good but I am letting off on the gas too much between shifts. I have a unleashed tune coming soon so I can't wait to see the difference.

I always try it as soon as I start up. I live down a nice long paved road with no traffic. It's in the 90's here. Cylinder Head Temp is usually low 180's with inlet air temp in the low 90's, launch from around 2k RPM.

You're not trashing your car when your oil temp is still low, are you?

You might want to drive it a little and get it warmed up before you go for it. Also, are you spinning out a lot? Or do you have advancetrac on?

No. Oil temp is normal not low. I leave advance traction on because I spin to much with out it. I still spin some with it on but nowhere near as bad.

How do you Guys launch the car? I have tried holding at like 2k and letting the clutch out quick it feels like I hit a wall (like when u drop into 1st or 2nd at to high of a speed) and slowly takes off no spinning or anything. Also have tried to ride the clutchout while increasing throttle which was much better I think, felt like tires were not getting great traction but she moved much quicker but still not sure if this is how to do it right. This is my first manual car so im kinda learning everything. I dont have any launch control or tuning I bet that helps a lot but still it shouldn't be necessary to get a decent launch and 0-60 times or should it?

It is really tough with 3.55 and manual. Have to shift twice. I tried leaving it in 2nd to redline but it cuts out at like 59 mph...my best time is around 6.5 with full bolt ons and E30 tune... :headbonk:

Wow... I can do 0-60 in like 6.1 in an auto convertible... must be 100 degrees in Texas to get times like that.

Well, I got 6.4 when I turned off advance trac. Imagine if I had better tires I'd get better times with it off.

Make sure you do your run with the engine warm, no boost till you are ready to do your 0-60. Find a flat area or downward facing freeway on ramp to get your best times. :-)

Best so far has been 6.2

66 degrees, 20% humidity
Manual, performance pack car, stock tires, all stock so far.
(Haven't launched a manual transmission car in 5 years)

Hoping I can do better than that.
