’19 Blue R Stripes

Are the blue stripes on OW ‘19 R’s much darker than previous years? In all the pics I see - and even in person - the stripes look almost black. But I’ve seen pics of older cars that clearly show a vibrant metallic color.

Yep, I saw a 19 R in white with the blue stripes at dealer when I was looking to buy. When I first walked into the show room, I thought they were black from a distance; they’re a dark blue matte and look awesome on a white car. I’ll see if I can find some closeup shots I took

Blue stripes match the blue paint offered in that year.
2015-16 - Deep Impact Blue
2017-18 - Lightning Blue
2019 (and I assume 2020) - Kona Blue

I have a 2019 R in Oxford white with the matt Kona blue stripe with the gloss red accent. The matt stripe looks terrific and sets the car aside from previous model years with the blue strip. It is harder to keep looking 100% as it shows minor swirls but that is a minor issue compared to the way it looks. I am also putting a matt Kona Blue G.T.350 rocker panel strip on the car. The matt knot blue color is very hard to match so be careful with it as it is no easy to just replace sections of it if it is damaged.
