What's the "Mustang Collection" they're referring to here? Are they talking about 50 Years section on the apparel store: http://merchandise.ford.com/category/brand-mustang-fifty-years?
For the amount of money we pay for our cars why not throw in a key chain or t-shirt. Great Idea! What's the "Mustang Collection" they're referring to here? Are they talking about 50 Years section on the apparel store: http://merchandise.ford.com/category/brand-mustang-fifty-years?
I hope not - while I wouldn't mind a Mustang tshirt with my new car (hint hint nudge nudge :ford, the style and design hinted at in that video doesn't seem to match the options in the Ford Merchandise store at all.
Yeah, I actually remember those days, some freebies, a cassette or 8 track, (yes they had those back then.. Lol) that explained the car and radio that had some top 20 songs of the time. Now we are lucky they fill the tank, oh yeah that's included in the dealer fees. For the amount of money we pay for our cars why not throw in a key chain or t-shirt. Great Idea!
Some places still do that. We bought all our equipment from the local John Deere dealer and anytime we needed a new cap or hat it was free. I always tried to pay them but they would never take my money. Even if that was the only thing I went in for.Yeah, I actually remember those days, some freebies, a cassette or 8 track, (yes they had those back then.. This is precisely what large corporations have lost, or forgotten... the personal touch and gratitude for the customer. In the long run, giving your customer a filled tank of gas, a hat and or t-shirt and a free tape/CD/thumb drive full of popular songs of the day, to enjoy with their new car, are nominal expenses, compared to "repeat business", or the "word of mouth" business conveyed to family, friends & acquaintances. There are a few out there that still appreciate your business. In my neck of the woods, we have Discount Tire businesses that will check your tire pressure for fre. Most times, if you've got a tire puncture, they'll repair that for free, and just ask that you consider them when you need new tires. Some places still do that. Okay, so I am not going to argue the point, because I think we would end up :threadjacked:, but I did want to mention I was a Realtor in a previous life and used to give these freebies away all of the time, but my profit was as much as 3% of the sales price of the home - 200,000 k home would net me 6 grand. That's lots of calendars, pens, and ball caps (although I doubt if someone would wear a cap with my picture on it ;)).This is precisely what large corporations have lost, or forgotten... the personal touch and gratitude for the customer. Sadly, corporations are getting greedier by the day and are shirking more and more responsibility to the paying customers whom made them what they are today.

I think the pony one and the S550's facing each other are kinda cool.
