Wasn't planning to buy a 2016 Mustang but good deals talk. I was looking to purchase a used 2010-2014 sport car between $15-20k. I was fairly open to everything from a 370z, Genesis Coupe, to a Camaro or Mustang. Saw a promotion for a new 2016 Mustang GT for $28,999. Sent a low ball email for $27k and next thing I know, negotiated a sale price by phone and received a quote for $27,419. Test drove the vehicle and signed the paperwork.
More than I wanted to spend, but I felt I was getting an extremely good deal. It's also only Mustang I've seen that has a black roof but it looks really good on the vehicle. Really highlights the body lines. So yes, you can get a base Mustang GT a couple thousand under $30k with incentives and a little negotiating.
