First and second pass. I've never launched the car with boost.
2015 GT A6 3.15's
Lund 93 octane tune
Paxton 2200SL stock airbox with a 3.8" pulley
Corsa sport catback
305/40/18 NT555R
BMR springs
No other mods at all
I thought the PSI would be a little higher, but low boost seems to still do the job. I'll probably get the same set-up except that I'll drop down 1 pulley right away. Thanks
This is a base Paxton 2200SL kit on the 3.8" pulley. ID1000/VMP BAP
The car is fat and happy on this tune. Don't rev to the moon and she will live for a long time. There is no comparison to boost vs NA...I'll never do FBO again lolthats awesome, that is exactly how much psi i feel would be safe for longevity and power, damn , complete guess by trap speed but 550-575 whp
Paxton says stock pulley is good for 6.5-7psi and I see a little under 7. I'm still using the stock intake box lol. I have the extra 3.6" pulley in my spare room waiting, that should be 8.5-9.5lbsI thought the PSI would be a little higher, but low boost seems to still do the job. I'll probably get the same set-up except that I'll drop down 1 pulley right away.
Gotta love the platform Ford gave usAwsome times for little mods, congratz
I got whatever BOV came with the kit (Vortech Maxflow). Check my youtube page and you will see plenty of videos lolDid you get the loud BOV? Any videos?
blows my mind what the 3.8" is doing on a stock converter lolvery nice, bang for the buck as good as these were on the 11-14's, even better on the 15 cars.
it's been our best seller for 5 years and i don't see that chaning.
i personally feel on the 15s, that dropping one pulley is perfectly fine, to a 3.6, thats what we have been doing with all of our local installs
the standard vortech / paxton intercooler is rated just over 900hp.how big of an intercooler did you run/brand?
