Well let me say this first. Most of you know I had an R on order. Long story short my dealer was promised an R and did not receive it in their 2016 allocation. I believe they did everything they could to fulfill the car I ordered but came up short. I was a little pissed obviously.

Fast forward to yesterday and their first ordered 350 was delivered overnight with absolutely zero notification from Ford. I had this VIN checked on another forum and it showed a week ago that the build date wasn't scheduled till this week...go figure that one out.

While I didn't get the R, I was ready for a new car and I'm thrilled with this one. They let me take the car out and drive it all I wanted to make sure I was going to be happy and then they dealt with everything else accordingly.

While most of my driving today was highway, one of my biggest concerns was that the 350 was just going to be too slow. I'm coming from @700hp in my 05 that the dealer bought from me. I was happily surprised the first time I got on it. It feels much faster to me than 526hp. It's very linear and the power just keeps climbing. The car is so reserved when you want it to be, and the interior compared to the 05...well I mean c'mon. Live Doppler radar...that's just silly.

Anyway I am happy and love my new Mustang.

I'll post more pictures later.

Congrats on the new car.

It's concerning that you say they were promised one but did not receive it (the R). A lot of us have orders in but no VINs. Do you think it was more likely that they assumed they were getting one and then did not? As I understand it, the allocations are pretty cut and dry.

Nice bro. Glad it all worked out in the end and you are happy with your new purchase. Looks like a beast even though the 05 didn't look bad. Hahahahha. Thanks for the short review. Looking to more later with more pics. Enjoy.

I don't know what to tell you but I started pushing hard about a week ago and I believe them that they were told they would receive an R allocation. This went all the way to Dearborn as far as I know. The final answer they received is that allocations are locked in and 2016s are done.

If you have a concern I would definitely ask them to confirm with the regional rep whether their allocation is real or not, and get you a definitive answer.

How many GT350 allocations did this dealer have? if it's less than 3 then they aren't getting an R allocation unless they hit the lottery and that is a long shot

3. Believe me they are pissed too.

But I don't care anymore. They handled it right with me as a past customer and guaranteed a future purchase from them. I am thrilled with this car.

Congrats, you are dead on with the power.I really don't miss my GT500 like I thought. It is a different more tractable power.

Going back and forth between all the colors. Trying to get something besides black because of the maintenance(and the $$ I would be spending to keep it pristine), but really no other color does it for me. Every other color is inferior to black. Nothing matches the menace look of black, especially at night. It's the only color that's worthy of matching the engine and exhaust note. With that said, beautiful car, we need more pictures!!
