Noticed this when I was installing my exhaust. Anyone else experience this?

Yup, and I'm worried now the dealer will blame it on the exhaust, like the stock exhaust doesnt get hot.

I can't imagine they wouldn't, and my tips are like an inch closer than yours.

He is in phoenix and I'm in Palm Springs and we both get long extreme summer heat. Just seems odd that my car has a little over 1000 miles and sits in the garage most of the time.

Seems like this only happens with aftermarket exhaust pipes. Don't recall ever reading where someone with stock exhaust has seen this issue.

I guess I'll have to go to the dealer and see what they say.

yep not the first time i've seen it. it's odd though, since it's not happening to everyone.

stock/aftermarket i don't think that should matter, because the stock mufflers are more flush than most aftermarkets and sit directly underneath the reflector.

the only thing i can think of is maybe the folks who are experiencing it are idling the car for an excessive amount of time?

Thanks everyone, I'll hit up the dealer and hopefully Ford Support will be behind me.

Actually, mine are melting, too. Just a bit of softening at this point, nowhere near as bad as yours.

I removed mine...would you guys be interested in some kind of product that fit in the space and you wouldnt have to worry about it melting? would you be interested in carbon fiber or just a regular black plastic to hide the fact a reflector was ever there in the first place?
