To make this work for my 90lb Labrador retriever, I had to add a platform beneath the seat kit. The kit is intended for weight reduction, not weight bearing. The fit and finish of the kit is phenomenal! Even with my brace everything looks nice and clean. Even with the brace I added, a significant amount of weight was removed. No increase in tire/cabin/exhaust noise.

This step takes 2-3 seconds.

Halfway home! I didn't end up using that bracket you see in the middle.

$10 wood addition.

Finished!

How easy and how long does it take to reverse it back to stock?

Definitely not the 20 minutes that some have described. The side panels and rear dash were out of the car at one point. I'd suggest 1 hour minimum - and that's after installing and figuring it out once.

Can this be assembled with just the seat base and not the seat back to create a large load floor with the trunk?

That's exactly what I though he was going to do when I saw the second picture

thats awesome youd do that for your dog, i have two myself, big ones, and i think this would be a great addition if they werent so prone to jumping the console in to the front seats, lol.

I'm going to attempt this today myself (I have two dogs, one of which is a lab). How did you secure the plywood to the car?

I drilled holes in the plywood so that the kit could use the holes in the car brace that it was designed to. There is a large center brace between the two seats that takes the majority of the weight.

Also, each seat bucket has a 2x4 leg resting in it that is screwed to the plywood for additional support.
