Nice! How'd you get the production line photo?

A friend in the right position. Just told them my VIN and the day it showed "in production" on cotus, they were kind of a surprise.

How do you like the grill delete? I'm considering it myself. Looks great, btw.

I love it. Can't stop looking at it. Maybe tomorrow I'll get the Hummer and the GT out to take some nice pictures together.

Removing the bumper was more of a pain than I was expecting and getting the grill out of the bumper was much worse than the instructions lead me to believe but it was worth it. The new grill went in very easy and putting it back together was easy as well. At the step where you have to "use force" to pop the bumper out scared me but it was pretty simple after I just went for it.

Overall time was 2 hours from start to finish but I took it slow because I wanted to be very careful.

Totally jealous of the production line photos. Car looks great with the delete kit..

Attempted to install my Lethal Performance H-pipe, from Lethal Performance, and my Roush Axle back exhaust, from Latemodel Restoration.

Started out well, got a spot on a lift. Figured I'd start with the Roush Axle backs. Follow their downloadable PDF instructions; marked the pipes, made the cuts.

Caution, falling mufflers may cause injury:



Anyways, some shop towels and electrical tape failed but a rubber glove and shop towel kept the bloodnaway enough to finish the job.

Got the left side completed, go to throw on the right and I have the wrong part. Roush or Late model Restoration sent a right muffler for a V6 :frusty:

While keeping the blood at bay, I continued with the h pipe. That went fine. Drove to urgent care with only half my exhaust and got stitched up:

Dayum that's brutal. Speedy recovery on that man.

LRS will get ya taken care of, those are good guys up there.

Everything was cleared up and good to go.

Diode Dynamic's switchback LED's and marker lights. Also have LED reverse light and a few others to go in for the interior.

Okay, did a lot today and the day ends badly. Again. Anyways...

Front sway bar / spring:





What the CJ Pony Parts video doesn't show you...in the video they just use a drill to torque the nut on the front shock down.. That doesn't work, the piston/cylinder will just spin in the shock. The box end of a 21mm wrench held tight enough to torque the hex fitting on the piston/cylinder itself. Just torquing the nut left 1 thread exposed (what they showed in the video), after a proper torquing, 3-4 threads were exposed.

So I got it home and took it slow up the driveway, not really any scraping. She sure is stiffened up quite a bit as she lifts a wheel now from the curb:




Unfortunately the night ended badly. My license plate bracket caught on a lip of the sidewalk when I was putting it away tonight. It ripped my stow'n'sho bracket apart. Tore the right "tube" off and pushed it back into the plastic under tray, causing about a 12" crack. Makes me feel sick. I have a spare stow'n'sho bracket and I'm going to take the tray off and see how well I can repair it without having to purchase another (for $247...).

Haven't fixed it yet as I couldn't find my jack stands and have other obligations at the moment.
