Let me start this review by stating that this review is for a car in this price range . I spent time with this vehicle and here is my honest opinion on all aspects that I've experienced personally.

Mustang GT 5.0. Performance Pack Premium with the red line interior and navigation.

Exterior score.* 9. 0

The Positives

This car has a very aggressive stance. It manages to be aggressive and menacing* at the same time as sharp, sexy and classy .
*It looks like it was CNC milled with a laser to create some of the most beautiful body lines I've seen on a car.

The paint is stunning , deep and reflective. The magnetic paint seems to flip flop in the shade or darkness to very solid grey but when the Sun or light hits it explodes. The metallic flake in the paint is very dense almost Galaxy like.

*The Performance Pack wheels are amazing in person I love the different shapes you see in them.
With the Brembo brakes peeking through it's a homerun.

The overall shape and silhouette of this car is intoxicating and those rear haunches.. Fire.

All in all it could pass for exotic Grand Touring machine costing twice as much.

The negatives

*I inspected the car thoroughly and did see some fitment issues. The hood on my vehicle is slightly misaligned it's higher on one side but I'm sure it could be fixed easily the first time I go in for service.

I'm not in love with the lower front fascia or fogs I think they could have done this a little better

Summer only tires are real bummer.

Interior score 9.5

The interior of this beast definitely has the wow factor.
It appears well crafted. great ergonomics* everything is well placed and is extremely comfortable . Suffice to say the most comfortable sports car* I've ever been in.

the cabin is very quiet almost safe room quiet.
The seats are buttery and soft. the leather is rich and deep in color.
The sight lines in the car are great and very minor if any blind spots.

Steering wheel is a great size and the view down that hood will put a smile on your face.

The negatives

Its got the s197 10 year old dome light that is extremely dim.
The button for the glove box did not feel substantial, felt a little flimsy.
The black plastics on the floor and the bottom of the doors attract scuffs and dirt.
No pony on the floor mats.

Features / tech / radio score* 9.0

The positives

Toggle switches feel substantial and work well. The various steering and drive modes are subtle but definitely change driver feedback.

The my color is great and really sets it off especially with the performance Pack center gauges it's like a 40k mood ring.

Track apps, line lock and launch control... Slow creepy grin... Yep.

Intelligent access is one of my favorite features it works flawlessly. And gives a high and feel to getting in and out of your car.

Steering controls are very handy in the sync system is holding in his its own. Speech recognition, phone controls they all work seamlessly together.
Navigation is very quick to route and is easy to see. Tons of points of interest and other features like gas prices in what's good to eat around town. Sports scores in my Mustang? Yes please.
The backup camera has a pretty wide angle and has served helpful so far and I'm sure I will come more into play once that back window is tinted
*
The pony projectors equals the icing on a cake, the cherry on the sunday everyone that see it loves it.

9 speaker stereo system is just enough to get by. for me this was very close to being a negative As I am a sort of audiophile. Or maybe I just am so deaf* from playing* loud music my whole life that it needs to be louder for me to hear it, I'm not sure.* It does sound full and crisp but it is not loud,* pounding , vibrant or bright. It will be upgraded down the road.

The negatives.

Heads up display would really complete the feel this car.

I wish the touch screen was tilted so you can press it instead of poke it.

Performance score 9.0
- in daily driving conditions as I have not been to a track/road course yet.

This car is very linear. There's a seemingly constant power band at your disposal. ...cont. below

The cars characteristics are very predictable and confident.
The power plant you in your seat but doesn't make you afraid to tap into it. If I had my way it (mods)it would be terrifying.

For stock gearbox is very short and clicky. Reminiscent of a medium setting on an MGW shifter.
The centre spring position is very nice and has a stiff return to center.

The road feel through the steering wheel is great and input is immediate. The car hugs the road and on turns seems to lean into them nothing but confident there.

The Performance Pack suspension is great for daily driving. It's not stiff it's more bouncy and absorbs the bumps very well. It handles road imperfections nicely for sports suspension.

The braking is superb. Its very grippy but at the same time not hard or abrupt.

The engine sounds like a piston symphony* on the inside. Remove the same tube? Not a chance,* it is a sound of mechanical harmony.

The negatives

The clutch seems to bite in the middle of nowhere and a takes a little getting used to.

I know its a v8 but the fuel economy does seem like it could be better.
You really have to drive it like a nanny to get up there in the numbers.

You can't feel the speed! Might be too and here's that word again refined. with mods I'm sure it can be restored to the violence of yore. Scare me dammit!

Too large of a turning radius.

The exhaust is choked the suitcase got to go.

The intangibles. score 10+

This car has a very organic connection to the driver. like in the movie Avatar " I see you ".* you plug in and experience this car..you feel part of it.

It's like a drug you just want more and more of it.

Above all it makes people happy. the comradery, love, passion and* individuality this car evokes is incomparable.

I think i fully, and 100% agree with this assessment. You NAILED it with the lack of HUD - that would have been truly spectacular on this car.

I felt everything you described, from the view over the hood, it makes me smile - the track apps, sly grin followed by a glance at my wife in the passenger seat... (ya.. better not, this time...)

My wife would also add that the designers put a lot of thought into the passenger, with the dual control air/heat, and the comfort, leg room, ride, plushness of the seats... ahhhh....

it does make everyone happy. My wife and i love it, people who look at it love it, people i pass on the road love it, the motorcycle cop on the parade route on Saturday started drooling, i think.

people might look at this and thing "Fan boy review" but, seriously, as i tell all my friends, you have to experience this car to understand!! :)

Coming from a 3 series BMW with the clutch and transmission being absolutely buttery smooth, I hope I can get used to it...I'm sure I will.

I agree with your "intangibles" it does have an organic feel to it that just makes it seem anxious to go. My short test drive in a Comp. Orange GT Premium vs. a Camaro SS made the Chevy seem clunky, hesitant and heavy by contrast, mainly due to pedal stiffness, throttle lag, and the weight of the 6.2. Just a few short weeks(hopefully) and I'll have the same experience daily!

That 6.2 camaro feels so heavy! It has decent tq once you you step down on it, but it really needs alot of mods to compete in the 1/4.

Yes, lots of raw power in the Camaro 1/2 second AFTER you floor it, but not an instantaneous feel the GT has. It just feels like an extention of your foot vs. a machine you are operating.
