2016 Mustang GT Black Accent Package & Black Painted Roof

Here is your first look at the 2016 Mustang GT with the new Black Accent package.

The new package (available only for the GT), which looks to be a $995 add-on, features special 19" black painted alloy wheels, black decklid spoiler, dark taillamp trim, and black 5.0 and pony logos.

Definitely a nice compliment to this Triple Yellow 2016 Mustang GT which is also sporting the new painted black roof option ($695, available for both EcoBoost and GT).

save the $1k and put towards better looking wheels and grab a $5 can of plasti dip and call it a day(for emblems)

So basically popular stuff us 15 owners have been doing.

Missed opportunity to do the heat extractors/turn signals as well.

I think black mirrors and/or hood vents would be cool too. Almost 1K seems a bit high for that though.

The $1K is mostly for the wheel upgrade I'm sure.

While I like the basic look, IMO that rear 'spoiler' is a joke. It is too small and actually (again, just my opinion) detracts from the smooth roof/tail line. I'm not advocating a huge Ricer wing or anything similar. But THIS one is bad.

If Ford is going to offer a rear spoiler, they need to take a cue from Roush. At least the Roush rear spoiler/wing actually adds to the look. This other looks too small and in black, really detracts from a beautiful car.

I thought I would really like this, but I'm not really crazy about it. The wheels and roof don't really do it for me. I think I would like the roof option if the A pillars were a little wider. I like the look of the black roof when it shows a clean line from A to C pillar. The A pillars sort of curve out at the top and disrupt the flow. A simpler fix would be to widen the area that is painted black to eliminate the part of the A pillar that curves out.

The $995 is basically for the 19" wheels...same price as the other optional 19"s on the GT (dark aluminum).

I don't like the black roof option but the wheels/emblems look good.

Glad they offer the spoiler delete option...won't be getting that but the rest of the package.

Pretty sure this isn't available with the PP too. No thanks.

Yes, 60B is a package that is just like 648 available on the Auto or MT.

648 was just the dark aluminum 19" optional wheels for the GT.

They basically modified those 19"s into a new design and then added the blacked out emblems and spoiler.

The ROOF is not part of 60B.
