Folks

Suddenly my engine fan is constantly running.

It's not exactly warm out.

Coolant temperature on the gauge seems fine.

Any ideas as to what could suddenly cause this?

I have the 'no fan' Lund tune.

Been on the car 18months+ with no issues.

Fans just started up last week.

I will send Lund a mail, but I don't see it being the file.

Anything else that will suddenly trigger them like this?

AC pressure too high or high ambient temps. Do they turn off when you shut the AC off?

I've had AC problems in the past, so i wil play with that today.

Ambients are around freezing at the moment. So it's not that! :)

Well according to this if AC is on fans are on, its just a matter of how much. The point being to get airflow over the condenser to have the AC work better when not moving.

I have had AC issues as well. According to the Ngauge my ac pressure at max ranges from 85-125psi with 70-90 ambient temps. I don't know if thats right as I never looked when the AC was working well. I suspect I have compressor issues, but if you are seeing pressure in the 200's I could see the fans being noticeable with close to 70% fan speed.

Thanks man. That's a great help.

I'll load up the AC pressure PID on the NGauge today.

I think it's aircon related.

Max AC yields 175psi.

It's also much colder on the passenger side (barely cold on the drivers). Exactly the symptoms I had when the AC went out last July.

My '15 GT is stock and my fans are running at max all the time. Took it to Ford (I'm still under full warranty for another 4,000 miles) and they're replacing both cooling fans. They told me that the electronics on the fans were shot causing them to run at max all the time. Not sure if that's accurate, but figured I would leave that here.

Of note I also have had a few times where the A/C would come on and blow warm. However this was during a 1,500 mile road trip after a six hour driving session. Cycling the car after sitting for a while resulted in the A/C working properly.

Mine run all the time... it's the Lund tune.
For those looking into the a.c. issue via negative, can you please post what you did or are doing?
Thanks

Evap core leak.

Check your A/C high side pressure. I'll bet it's around 400 psi because you're low on refrigerant and the evap core is frozen over. (low side pressure was off the scale)

My car just did the same thing.
