Track day at Bedford Autodrome Monday 15th August

If anyone's interested in coming along, I'll be taking the Mustamg on a track day at Bedford on 15th August... It's £169 for the whole day.

I like my car to much....thanks tho!!

Was there on Thursday for a JP day, great track.

Make sure you get some video.

Drive-by 87.5 dB(A)
Probably going to miss that target if you have a resonator delete cat-back I would imagine.

Best to check with organiser, sometimes it is 98Db driveby which with some of the exhaust guys here are running could be an issue.

Sometimes they do a 105Db static, any loud car will fail this, so when they ask you your rev limit say 6000rpm, so then they will in theory only ask you to rev to around 4000rpm and you should pass. ;)

Typically every 1000rpm more is another 3db in noise level.

Just seen this, wow that is very quiet, cannot see many modified Mustangs passing.

It's 101db... Most UK tracks are less - at 98 or 98db... If your Mustang is stock it will be fine... For mine, I will be having the stock exhaust put back on again for the track day

Yeh, might rule me out then.

Must admit I was a bit worried yesterday. It was my birthday and my son had been asking me about track days I and I was so worried they had got me track day tickets. Mind you, I guess I could put the original exhaust on for it

Is that driveby or static though? 98Db driveby you should be just fine.

Silverstone have a 102db drive-by limit - probably the only circuit where a cat-back exhaust will pass. I suppose it depends where they measure the drive-by ..... the noise from the pitwall on the Silverstone day was pretty loud for those cars that had modified exhausts. That was maximum throttle and full bananas, so I guess that's the point where they measure?

Perhaps all is not lost! Milltek figures ...... assuming you can 'get away' with 3750rpm you're just about ok for the static test.

Mine is 97db @ 2200rpm

Who is the organiser? At that price I'd expect Javelin?

Bit of a free-for-all if so, so be careful, but they do have a good reputation for enforcing driving standards. But the lower price tends to attract more, shall we say, 'carefreee' drivers.

Bedford are zero tolerance on noise too (as noted above).
