Yes, the S550 will have "mood" lighting (ambient lighting). It will have memory seats and and telescoping/tilting steering wheel. It will NOT have HUD... while this hasn't been confirmed yet I believe it would already have been announced as a selling point.

When you remove performance from the equation I can't see how anyone could justify the price premium of the vette with this new Mustang which packs a lot more premium features and from third party accounts is a lot better fit and finish than the current model.

Both offer hid's:Yes ((Stingray standard across all trims))
Both offer AFS: no on stingray. Not sure on GT.
Both offer glass roof: not sure on GT. (Stingray $995 to replace standard carbon fiber; dual roof possible too but costs more)
Both offer HUD: not sure on GT. (Stingray on 2LT and 3LT)

For 51K starting price, the C7 is one of the best bang for the buck. No options needed unless you want more amenities... Even in standard form it already has dual 8" screens w/ reconfigurable center display cluster + touchscreen infotainment system and leather interior... plus add the all-aluminum 60% stiffer than C6 chassis, curb weight <3400 lbs, and carbon fiber hood & roof... again, no brainer. I can't wait to see/drive the S550 next year esp. when they release a hi-po version but I love my C7! :love:

Ant, this one render was posted in another thread... but when I saw it had Vossen CV3's I knew then & there it would be a nice choice for you. Arguably looks better on a 6th gen Mustang than on a 5th gen Camaro.
