Build dates

After you get a VIN how do you check for a projected build date?

Check with your dealer or with Tricia.

When you go to the Cotus site, then enter your VIN....it should take you to the tracking for your car.

Right click on the screen > view page source > search for the term "currentbuilddate"

I have seen some not work. If you search for "eta" it should take you to the line that gives info. Like, on my Automatic car.....it looks like this:

I cant pull it up no matter what I try

Could it be it hasnt been determined and inputed yet?

Yes. Depending upon when you got your VIN, you may or may not be scheduled yet. Keep looking, scheduling seems to happen every Thursday.

If you want to search the code for your current build week, enter your order number and dealer code. NOT your VIN... then search for "currentbuildweek".

If you want to check if your current build date is available in the code, use your VIN... and search for "currentbuilddate".

Don't ask me why that is, but that's what I found works...

Holy hell my build week is:
2014-10-26 Who did I piss off at Ford? I ordered June 2nd. Maybe before Christmas? I'm ordering a GT premium with PP and from a little country dealer....maybe that's why. Who knows, this ordering system is like voodoo.

Stock orders seem to have filled up all the slots through the week of 10/13.

Are you Retail?

I'm guessing so because we got tacked onto the end with 10/19, 10/26, and 11/2 build weeks (estimated)... they can move out later (I haven't seen sooner) due to many factors.

Be happy you got a VIN!

I got my vin on 9/11 I think ordered on 7/15 hope im in on the 10/13 week figures crossed

I ordered mine through Larry Hill Ford in Cleveland,TN and Im getting no information from them. No order number, VIN, Nothing. Ordered on 8/1. Its not showing up in their inventory or extended inventory. Larry Hill has a LE ordered for himself and its not showing up either. Dont know if it was ordered retail or dealer stock or what priority either. What gives?

Ask him for a copy of your VOC (Vehicle Order Confirmation)... it'll have everything we need on there to help you out. Order number, dealer code, priority, type, etc....

They can email it to you.

I was talking about estimated build dates... I haven't seen a date assigned past 10/13. I see a lot with 10/6, too.

I think it works something like this:

1. VIN is assigned.
2. "currentbuildweek" is assigned - always a Sunday.
3. "currentbuilddate" is assigned as it gets closer - always a Monday.
4. Closer still, your car is assigned a build day during the week - "currentbuilddate" is updated in the code.
5. Your car finishes processing - a date appears in the "In Order Processing" box - window sticker link is available, but doesn't work.
6. The next day, the window sticker link works, and the Blend Date is the same as your updated "currentbuilddate" in step 4.
7. Your car is built on average 2 days later then they guessed.

All we can see so far for yours is "currentbuildweek":

"currentBuildWeek": "2014-10-19 19:00:00"
