I stopped by my dealer yesterday to see how things are progressing and to do my periodic checkin. Build date 9-4-15 Yay team! They had a 2013 GT500 on the floor with less than 2k miles.

So, my wife asks me, "Do you just want to get this TODAY?" It's funny while 662 hp is really sexy and the car appears to be an absolute MOTHER FREAKIN' BEAST! I suspect that if I bought this car, I would covet every gt350's that cross my path. Converesely, if I were in a GT350 I don't see myself lusting over gt500s.

I think that for me, it's all about the balance of a precision piece of engineering (gt350) vs an an amazing powerplant without nearly the same level of precision (gt500). Again just my own person assumptions.

I'm curious how many are going from a 13-14 gt500 to the Gt350 and what your thoughts, concerns, excitement is about.

Well if you need a place to store some of your very very nice rides, I can always kick the wife's new lexus out of the garage. Yeah, that will go over well.

Will be keeping my 07 500, it is a different type of power and ride but still an incredible performance car.

If Ford doesn't come out with a new GT500 I will for sure be buying a stable mate '13-'14 GT500 for the GT350. The GT500 was the most visceral car I have ever owned. Of course it was heavily modified but such a beast.. The 07-14 GT500 is a sledgehammer where the GT350 is a scalpel.

I had a 12' GT500 what a heart pounding beast. It reminded me of the old 100 dollar bill on the dash of you can grab it you can have it. Hahahahah. Wasn't happening. I let my buddy drive it he took it easy in 1st two gears then thought he'd get in it in 3rd Slung us sideways almost 360 style his kid was in the back. Pretty sure he soiled himself. Pure ground pounding beast. It had the SVT package it handled pretty good actually but was a very stiff ride. I still miss that car. But looking more forward to its replacement.

I sold my 2014 GT500 for the GT350. If they build a GT500 in 2017, I will also get one of those.

I have a '14 with suspension mods only, including a Watts Link rear end. I thought I was going to get rid of it as I have a GT4 on its way in, but I can't. Its too much fun, and it's not just a sexy beast - it's a really well made and solid car, and now with the suspension mods it gets the power to the ground. I can't let go of it, so I'll be shuffling cars between a storage unit. But that's just me, and I know I have a sickness........
