Why are there so many used s550 GT350s on ebay? There are more GT350s than regular GTs on the listings. Any ideas?

Carmax have a bunch of them too

Because they burn oil like crazy.

Because the GT500 is about to be announced and their values are gonna drop.

Because the $1000 car payment plus $250 in insurance isn't worth it

Because 2016 tech packs go into limp mode on the track

Because they gotta trade it in for the newest Porsche.

Because it's not that fast on the track or in a straight line.

Jesus!!!

Yeah, There are a ton of them on auto trader aswell. So weird for a car that was bringing $10-$20k ADM's not even a year ago. I still want one though, Maybe ill be able to pick one of them up for cheap once the market crashes on them and the prices tank.

^All valid points^ I'd have a hard time spending that much money on a MUSTANG regardless of which model. They did seem to have a lot of issues as well.

I think people bought them not understanding what they were built for. Now do to misinformation, hype and just plain buyer remorse, people are trying to unload them.

For the people who understood exactly what type of car they were buying, its no problem.

This also why. People even in the Mustang community still think the car was designed to go in a straight line. They still do not understand it was built to go around curves.

Straight lines is not all of end all, but honestly with the mods I have, I have zero issues going in a straight line. Easily can run in the 11's even in the S.FL heat.

here are my reasons I think why:

1. the hype is gone while people are continuing to make payments
2. owners have had problems with them
3. expensive hobby, not a practical car
4. people getting married rather use the money on a house
5. expensive car yet not considered a collectable as much as older 2010-2014 GT500s

Because people are mostly dumb, fickle, and have a need to showboat.
I really wanted a GT350. Even went so far as to buy a 15 EB lightly optioned instead of the 15 GT heavily optioned back in December of 14'. Plans were to use the money saved to get into a GT350 once they were available. The sound of the 5.2, upgrades to the suspension, and general trackiness was my motivator. I knew from having the EB I could live with the car and planned on driving it daily. Not interested in a collectors piece.
All was going according to plan until some narcissistic people decided in their vanity it was okay to pay stupid amounts of ADM just to be first.
Many people knew what was going to happen in 2-3 years time even before the first one was delivered. The 350R's were unique enough that their fate was written but the 350's not so much.

So here we are and people are starting to turn loose of their 350's. Why? Because they never wanted the car in the first place, just wanted the prestige of having what others could not get. (FYI this is the reason ADM's exist) Now that that prestige is gone it's on to next thing.

Ultimately it's just a car. That wears out, gets dents and scratches.

Thankfully there were enough sold that when I decide again that I want one I'll be able to pick one up. Cheap.

I know. Just waiting on the comment about ā€˜not what it was designed to doā€™ so I can say exactly about the GT350.

The boomer generation were the ones paying 15-20 ADM becouse ā€œCollectorā€ now they trying to unloading it. Iā€™ll say donā€™t buy one yet just wait 1 year and you be able to find a gt350 in mint condition for 40k

Some do but not mine.

Nothing from Ford officially yet.

Itā€™s worth the payment but cuts into my play funds and Iā€™m ready to play with something else.

They do but mine is a 17.

Not.

That is not accurate. They kick ass on the track. So I am told. Have not tracked mine. It was never marketed as a straight line car.

Comes all down to cost vs usage. Mine sits a lot for $1,300 a month. I absolutely love the car and knew exactly what I was buying. A track day car. Thought I would track it. Have yet to do so. Car is amazing to drive and the sound is very unique. Is it worth $1,300 a month for a car that is not being used to its potential and design intentions. It was for me but not now.

Feel free to look at mine in the classifieds.
