So it’s sounds fairly clear we won’t see the GT500 till next year, and i could just be reading into things, but as he went down the line up for 19 I didn’t hear him mention the R. I wonder if that was on purpose or if he is just lumping all 350s together.

It's all the same... 350 or 350r... They'll keep building them until they run out of Carbon fiber. HA!

Makes sense to me..... the 350 was such a success that it would be foolish to not continue and expand upon the lessons learned. I'm pleased that I have the first allocation from my dealer at a low ADM, however I am concerned that the first model year will be a very low production and wind up only going to VIPs.
I would suggest that you are in a win/win situation.;)

If history repeats itself based on production numbers for the first year 2007 GT500 there will be lots of cars to go around with Ford producing just short of ~11,000 GT500's for the 2007MY therefore you can expect to get a new GT500 quite easily.

Assuming that Ford decides to keep production volumes significantly low for the new GT500 (2019MY) I would suggest that with the strong relationship that you have with your Ford dealership along with your dealer being a significant high performance dealership I would believe that you may be one of the few lucky ones to receive a low production first year GT500.

If I can help you in any way just reach out to me at any time.

Good luck and hope that it all works out for you!

It would be one way to keep the price of the GT500 in the 70s. I think if they have the R in there, the 500 will definitely have to be over 80K. And it could be well worth it. But at that range you’re now getting into some really great and really well built cars.

Eh...I think it was less than that. Think it's closer to around 40,000. There were a few years that had significantly low production numbers. I think the highest production year was around 12,000 and lowest was around 4,500.
The highest production year was 2007 with 10,847 cars built and the lowest production year was 2009 with 3559 cars produced.

I don't recall the 2014 production numbers but assuming that they were similar to the 3 previous MY's volumes (just short of 15,000) that would be ~5000 cars for the final year the total production and a total of ~47,250 cars for the 8 years of production.

;)

Someone get the cheese and crackers ready for when the rest of the non-GT350 forum arrives to let us know their GT350/R value and ADM predictions.

Cue all the butthurt owners because the resale values just went down lol /s
Never bought the GT350 for investment purposes..

I couldn’t watch the video but if there’s a model of the GT500 that does not include all the necessary cooling hardware- run like crazy.

Also, if it isnt NA and doesn’t have an FPC, it’s of no interest to me. Just MHO..

there were around 12000 GT500s produced for '13 and '14.
I think it's funny that Mark Schaller interviewed a month ago said specifically calendar year 2020. seems like they are wanting to speed things up a bit.
still, I bet we don't see a GT500 come off the line for 1 more year. March of 2019.
No butt hurt here, the only guys that are butt hurt are those that have to say us owners are butt hurt. Envy is still killing you guys isn't it? let go of your hate;)

I like to disassemble things.
Can't wait. I made the move for this one and am slowly gaining more confidence that this will be what I had originally hoped for - a bonafide track monster.

Don't see why anyone is suprised, they had two routes to go for a "cheap" GT350. Continue the current one, or ditch the supercharger on the GT500.

Either way....

Wonder if the 2019 will be "as is" or if it will get any 2018 upgrades, like the Digital Dash.

Lots of "special edition" choices forthcoming for MY2019.....

Aside from the regular Mustangs, we'll now have: Bullitt, GT350, GT500, and even the GT/CS gets revived: https://blog.caranddriver.com/going...ecial-returns-to-updated-2019-mustang-lineup/

I also wonder "IF" the GT350 for 2019 will get updated fascias, interior, etc.....
With the GT500 looking to keep the same headlamps as the GT350/15-17MY, likely won't be a headlamp change. Would be cheaper to keep that same tooling up and running across 2 vehicle lines at least.
