Ok I did a quick recording in the parking garage same as the prior one. I'll post that up once I get home.

Thus far I've not noticed any vapor but I've not had it on there consistently either. I'm going to leave it in place for a week or two now so I'll know more.
That's good to hear. It's a great idea. Especially for those who want to make big power in the future

I was thinking about just cleaning up the wiring around the valve cover on mine. I miss the 90s when manufacturers made nice valve covers. Now they just cover everything with a big piece of plastic and call it good. :(
Exactly, it does help get to things easier as well.

Although everything is pretty accessible on this car.

Car sounds great. I think the single is the way to go. I live about 20 minutes from you down 90, maybe some day we could meet up and I could hear it in person. I had a 01 pewter z28 before too.

Thanks for the updated videos. Hopefully someone comes out with something to plug the other hole in the diffuser at some point, in the meantime I may try and make something out of fiberglass or metal.

Few updates but No pics of anything. the D700 is back at Nikon getting its service which I've put off for a long time. I've installed the Turbosmart Kompact Shortie Dual Port BOV. No more constant operation of the stock valve. although this valve flutters a decent amount at low psi operation which is at time annoying but still Soooo much better than the stock one that would operate at vacuum for some reason. Also the TurboSmart BOV also changed the feel of the car and the way boost feels on and off the throttle.

In other news I also installed the Mishimoto FMIC. I pulled the whole bumper off Myself. One thing to note its a ton easier to disconnect the fogs and turn signal connections from underneath rather than doing it when the bumper is disconnected and hanging in mid air like all the instructions I've seen online. I removed the shutters for the IC section as well. It all went smoothly. Next I will be taking some logs and getting an Etune from MAPerformance.

Camera is coming back tomorrow so I'll feel complete again and will post what shots I can.

My Nikon D700 is back.. Life is good.

The IC through the grill..

The Pliers I modded with a dremel and grinder and an old panel popper that gets used to all kinds of prying needs. I used these a ton to take the various panels off the car.

And in case anyone is wondering... this is how they are used.

TurboSmart BOV... Eventually I'll get charge pipes and a better BOV but for now this works.

Did you have to mess with the wiring to use that BOV?

Just to update the current Mods list and cost. Since this came up on another board about how much people have spent.

the Mods list as of 07/16/2015
Cobb AP $475
Mishimoto FMIC $475
TurboSmart BOV $250
Ultimate Racing 3" single Turbo back with resonator $1400
FFtec CAI $180
NGK 6510 spark plugs 1 step colder $30
Diode Dynamics LED reverse light and brighter LED trunk light $30
Disconnected noise cancellation/Piped in engine sound system - Free!
Removed Shutter system from FMIC - Free!

thus far $2740.. I splurged on the exhaust getting one of the most expensive and I picked all the options but worth it being the most straight through exhaust out there and it being the lightest option available. I could have saved quite a bit more just going with something else but the FMIC, CAI, and Cobb AP I bought during Pre-sales so I saved a hunk of money there too.

Next will be an E-tune from MAPerformance. other things I've been looking at are the BMR Cradle Lockout, FR emblemless tail panel, grille, installing a sub and amp. I'll be holding off on more engine mods until the Fueling options are available and more turbos are on the market.

big update.. I lost the photo storage I was using so I've been busy moving it all. What a Damn PITA anyways..

Since the last update..

I have painted the rear valence black and removed the fake tip.

Much better.

Also had a 3" dynomax Race Muffler laying around and decided to put it to use and rigged up a quick muffler section with a turn down with scrap pipe. Its ugly but it works.

I'm loving the sound.. Its louder and more raw without being overly annoying. I'm going to re-engineer it out of nicer pipe and make a different turndown. since I love the sound.

No F's given for shiny chrome tips and such. lol.

I also removed the Mishimoto Catch can because I was having the dreaded white smoke problem. I fixed it by gutting the PCV valve and installing a one way valve into the stock line but want to change the setup to something a bit better.

I have been chasing a boost leak and after a leak test I found the culprit... The Adapter block for the Turbosmart BOV had a torn O-ring. the thing is I've replaced this and attempted to install it multiple times. Turbosmart made it soo tight that its near impossible to install without a problem.

So I implemented a new setup and cut the factory line and T'd off of there. I used crimp clamps because they are cleaner and these lines are not needed to be removed.

I used the large line all the way up the BOV where I used an adapter to neck down and again more crimp clamps. The BOV has a compression clamp on its vacuum line so it can be removed easily.

Finally I installed Mishimoto charge pipes. I had one problem though the clamp provided for the Turbo was impossibly small. It would not fit over the silicone coupler at all. I reused the stock one and have a correctly sized T-bolt clamp on the way.

finally a new shot of the engine. Probably going to make a coolant tank relocation myself to move the tank to the open area on the drivers side. Everyone is into replacing them.. I'd rather move the stock one to a more pleasing location.

Ohh and the final Bit of news.. I have a Tune+ E-Tune on the car. as of now I only have the base tune. I have a UPR DV catch can on the way and already have a gutted PCV done and a one way valve on the stock line. It works but would rather get a catch can on there and like how the DV setup from UPR works. I'll start sending the tune files in to dial it in after that gets sorted. I'm only on the Base tune the car is much improved over anything else I've run and it will only get better from here.
