Jlt "HOT AIR" intake.

Mind you. This is after 8/9 pulls on the Dyno. So it should be good and heat soaked. I drove the car in traffic on telegraph rd. a 45mph road with lights every mile/mile and a half.

I drove telegraph from Livernois Motorsports in Dearborn Heights to my house in brownstown. About 40/45 min drive with traffic.

So 908ssp what you got now?

The reason you need a tune with a hot air intake, is the ecm can't understand all the extra air flow. Hence some manufacturers install a restrictor to cut air flow...... No tune intakes.

So 908ssp the demon HOT AIR INTAKE is right on par temp wise to the "real cold air intake"

Granted the temp rises faster at a stop than the factory intake, but it also drops faster than with the factory intake.

Oh and it made 14more peak hp on the dyno, but also made more all along the midrange too. Hmmmmmm

FACTS are hard to argue jay. I've used your systems before and they always produce. That's why I waited to get this one. Even though Livernois had airaid in stock.

That's awesome Anthony! We're glad that you're happy! To me the craziest part is that you are running a 205° head temp, but only a 52° IAT, that's great lol. 14WHP from a CAI is a great gain! :coolphotos:

14 more with JLT CAI and a tune? If so, which one?

The baseline was with a Livernois 93 octane tune. The jlt added 14 on top of that.

In one of my other posts. The Livernois Motorsports tune only, added 22hp over stock.

Today's baseline was 412, after jlt cai and tune its 426.

I've always had good luck with JLT on my previous rides as well. I did some back to back track testing with my 13 5.0. Had Livernois tune only, then had them send me a tune for the CAI and installed the CAI and updated tune and ran .3 quicker and it was repeated. Very impressed!

Those gauges look great, they're not OEM are they?

52 degrees with 202 degree heads. Glad to see these type of FUD threads squashed.

The 2015 has an inlet to the grill taking in outside air, not like the old style that tried to get outside air through cracks in the hood or some tiny space (letting engine temp effect it)

With a bigger tube and a tune it would have made the same HP. You said it yourself "Granted the temp rises faster at a stop than the factory intake,". And it hasn't been exactly warm around here for weeks.

I literally just made my mind to do a JLT, now I need to read more if the closed system with a tune is better / more efficient.

Thanks for the info.
