Yes. All GT350's have the oil cooler. The trans cooler has the pump built into the tranny case so you would have to replace the trans to upgrade like the track pack cars. Otherwise you could go aftermarket.

A member here, Combustor, has a track pack and said during very spirited driving his differential temp. was getting high. His trans temp was low. Based off his info the diff. cooler would be a worthwhile upgrade.

Anyone have pictures of the oil cooler on a tech 350? I wasn't tracking that it was included.

Oil cooler is the most important out of those 3

Ford website says oil cooler is only on Track and not Tech? Any pics of the oil cooler on Tech to confirm?

There have been several threads with confirmation that the oil cooler is also included in base and tech packs. Arsenalrocks found it first if I remember correctly.

I also personally saw one in the tech pack that I sat in at a dealership a week ago ( they wanted 80k btw lol).

I was hoping that the temp sensor readings were included in the center display but Matt has confirmed that's not the case.

This is in the supplemental manual. Leads me to believe the engine oil cooler was in fact added to all cars, despite the order form listing that as part of the R or Track option package.

• For sustained high speeds or track day
use with a Base or Tech model, we
recommend that transmission and
differential coolers are added. Your
vehicle has electronic controls to
reduce power and/or limit RPM to
reduce powertrain temperatures if
required.

Interesting postings. The wording in the GT350 Supplement on p.25 reads, "For sustained high speeds on track day use with Base or Tech model, we recommend that transmission and differential coolers are added". This does imply that the oil cooler is already there, but it was never stated to be included in the Tech Pack. For my situation ( just got a VIN number, but the car has not yet been built) can these two coolers be added by the factory as it just seems like a good idea for even limited hard driving,

Only way to get the diff and trans coolers from the factory is to order a Track package or an R.

I'm sure kits will be out there soon for siff and trans. Diff should be pretty easy to put the factory cooler on.

What's your definition of "hard driving?" The coolers don't event affect anything until after about 20 minutes of sustained track beat down.

They don't surface them if there are. The virtual gauges are missing for those two on the center display in the Tech package. I tried messing about to find a PID for transmission temp but came up empty handed there too.
I just bought a Tech Pack GT350 (G2046), and it has the option of displaying a virtual gauge for engine oil temperature, but not engine oil pressure. Am I missing something here?

The supplemental owner manual (page 22) shows a virtual engine oil pressure gauge.

I definitely don't have a virtual oil press. gauge either, just the physical one in the dash. Another thing left out of the Tech pack for no reason it seems. Bummer.

Thanks. Oh well, at least I now know it's not just my car. Considering how hard it is to read the physical gauges in the center of the dash (why oh why didn't Ford have the sense to angle those gauges toward the driver?), a virtual oil pressure gauge would be quite useful. Certainly more useful than virtual gauges for air/fuel ratio, cylinder head temperature, or inlet air temperature, at least in my book.

Maybe Ford will issue a firmware update for these cars to give us that virtual oil pressure gauge that they promised us in the supplemental manual. Hope springs eternal.

Interested in the answer to this question as it applies both to trans/diff fluid temps and oil. What constitutes hard driving on the highway vice track? What would happen with an hour plus of high speed driving, minus the continuous braking and shifting?

I was hoping this to be true, but after talking to Mike G at FP I'm not sure even the diff cooler would be easy to add.

Here is the email I received from him.

Steve:

In doing some research on fitting the transmission and differential coolers to a Tech pack car, we’ve found a few things. The pump for the transmission cooler is internal to the transmission. It is not a part that can be added externally. The base and the tech pack car transmissions do not have this internal pump. The R and the track pack cars have the pump internal in the transmissions. The part numbers are different for the base/tech cars and the R/track pack cars.

The differential cooler pump is mounted externally on the differential. It may be possible to add it to a tech pack car but there isn’t a way to power it.

There are also potential sensor/wiring issues in adding the factory pumps/lines/coolers. It may be possible but not without significant challenges. We simply don’t know the feasibility yet as we haven’t done it.

Hopefully the aftermarket will respond with a simpler kit to solve the cooling on the trans/diff during track sessions for tech pack/base cars.
