  1. 2017 Mustang GT - Need Intake Manifold Runner Control replaced

2017 Mustang GT with under 6k miles on it, I'm original owner. Last week the check engine light came on, bad smell on that first drive...running a little rough at lowish RPMs, at times. Took it to dealer and they said codes showed cylinder 8 misfire and other misfire codes, and that the intake...
  2. Glass repair person dropped tool into my fender

Is there a special tool to use to get these retainers? Are they those pop out things that I hear people breaking when they remove?
  3. Glass repair person dropped tool into my fender

So... the lovely experience of having my windshield cracked and replaced in my new mustang was made even more awesome by the repair person accidently losing one of his tools in my fender. I think it was a small tool used to safely pull the cowling away from the window, but he put it down and...
  4. Scotchguard safe for alcantara parts of seats?

Hello! I have a 2017 California special and wanted to know if scotchguard is safe for the cloth/alcantara parts of the seats. For that matter, anyone use it on their carpeting in the car? I want to protect these things, but would hate to use something that does more harm than good. Thanks for...
  5. Bill @ CJ Pony Parts & Sean Kiernan interview

Great interview. Good questions asked. Thanks for sharing
  6. Pennzoil Ultra Platinum impossible to find?

I may have missed it in the responses in this thread, but what is it about this oil that makes it the oil of choice for so many? I need to figure out what I'm going to use in my new 17.
  7. Anyone ever try both Borla Touring and Borla S catback on their S550? Questions...

I wound up buying the s type and installed it Friday night. From the quick drive around the neighborhood, it is louder, but not megaloud. The neighbors definitely heard me roaring up the street (they told me, lol), but as a matter of practice, i'll keep the revs down and stay off the gas as much...
  8. My interview with the owner of the original Bullitt Mustang

yeah, when I traded in my 11 to get my 17 I felt as though I was betraying it, lol. We do tend to bond with the cars.
  9. rock chips!

Trucks are my most hated enemy. I am a very careful and patient driver, but Trucks turn me into a leadfooted, aggressive driver. I will do whatever the heck I need to do to get around them as quickly as possible, and I don't let them pass me.
  10. My interview with the owner of the original Bullitt Mustang

Always like hearing him talk about the car. I learned some things I didn't know, so great interview.
  11. 1st oil change

I talked to the dealer yesterday and asked if they'd done anything to my car as far as oil changes go because it had been on lot so long, and a guy that looked on the service computer said oil was changed when I bought it. I'm not a trusting person though. They didn't have the car for all that...
  12. For those who installed your catbacks yourself...how bad was it on jackstands?

UPDATE: My friend and I installed the catback system last night. We took our time, and I guess my ramps aren't all that tall because it was a bit of a tight fit under there, but we got it done in about 2.5 hours. It was kind of late by that time, so I just did a quick drive up the street, but...
  13. Silly question but asking anyway (exhausts)

Been reading a lot these days as I try and get a hold of the whole mod situation and knowing I wanted a new exhaust. Just curious, I know a cat back like Borla gives a little extra horse power (and I don't want it for HP, more for sound, really), but does it put any extra strain on the engine...
  14. 1st oil change

Threads like this are why I love this forum. I'm always learning things. I just bought my 17 a few weeks ago, but looks like the dealer had that car on the lot since sometime in November or December of 2016 and only had about 35 miles on it when I bought it. I would never have thought to...
  15. Tuning and Warranty

Nice document. I don't intend to do a lot of mods to my new 17. Really, only thing I want to do right away is put an exhaust on, but of course, advice is over the spectrum over how soon to do it when you get a new car as well as whether it voids the warranty. From what this and other threads...
  16. Broken Valve/ Motor Blown

Sucks to hear you're having to go through all this, but on the plus side, they are making it right at the end of the day. You get a new ride and never have to worry about whether repairs would hold up. I would suspect the administrative BS you're having to go through now would be the same at any...
  17. For those who installed your catbacks yourself...how bad was it on jackstands?

Here's my question for today. Now that the system has arrived and I'm reading the instructions, how many of you used a gauge of some sort to torque to manufacturer's specifications? :D I don't have any gauge to do that, so if it's necessary, I'll have to grab one.
  18. For those who installed your catbacks yourself...how bad was it on jackstands?

This is good to hear to hear all these experiences. I don't have jacking rails, but I think CJ pony parts has a vid showing the correct places to jack up car and upon which to put the stands. Now that I think about it, I have 4 ramps so I can just put the car on those and not even deal with jack...
  19. Is there anything you would change with the Bullitt

Exhaust note matched to be closer to the original as they did with the other releases. even without those, it is a beautiful car that I would have pulled the trigger on had it been reasonably priced. Hope all those who do get it enjoy immensely.
  20. For those who installed your catbacks yourself...how bad was it on jackstands?

I know the DIY vids make things look easier than they are sometimes, and when it comes to exhausts, having the car on the lift makes things really easy and accessible, but I don't have a lift. I've called around and no one will install my catbacks for less than 150 and given what I've seen on...
