In college I has multiple class A amps and ran an 8 gauge wire to the battery. I am not building that setup. A single small amp to run two 8” subwoofers. What do you think on wire gauge? 12 Gauge?
Thanks for the responses. The wires do look pretty small. I know how to run power to the amp. I built a pretty awesome system when I was in college. Back then I had lots of time. Now I am old, have a full time job, and kids. Time is not plentiful. That is why I was looking for a source in the trunk.
I have a 2019 ecoboost base. I plan to add a small amp in the truck for some 8” subs. Is there anywhere I can tap power from that is in the trunk so I don’t have to run a wire? I pulled out the s floor carpet and interior sides in the trunk and there are a lot of wires present. There is a module...
I hooked up Forscan to my 2019 ecoboost and was planning to use the plain English programming method to set it to 6 speakers and flat EQ. There doesn’t seem to be a plain English setup for the ACM. Am I missing something on this? All I see is AS-BUILT. I am ok with changing the values manually...
I am not changing antenna. I have a 2019 ecoboost base that I am installing an 8” screen and ACM from a 2019 GT premium. The new ACM has Sirius radio but I don’t have the antenna connection. Based on reading this it looks like I just need this antenna splitter so it can hook up to the APIM and ACM.
I have a 2019 Mustang and I swapped out the 4” screen with an 8” screen and APIM from a 2019 GT. I love it and it works very well with a few exceptions. I made no changes in Forscan. I have two questions:
1. The old 4” system toggled through all of the radio presets when the left or right arrow...
Well yes, parts of it anyway. It has 159 pages currently. That is where I got most of my information. It’s an awesome post. I read in the post that it is a direct swap. I was hoping to get confirmation on that. I did just re-read part of the sync 3 swap post and it answered my ACM question. If I...
Actually my 4” system is buggy as hell as well. To be honest the sync 1 system in my F150 is much more reliable. I have experienced multiple failure modes on my 4” system. I was trying to connect and play music through the USB port like I do in my F150. Well that fails more than it works. Most...
I have researched this online at length and I hoped a few things can be confirmed and maybe a few remaining questions answered.
I own a 2019 ecoboost base. Unlike many people that buy them, I bought mine to commute to work. It gets great gas mileage, looks great, and has passing power when I...
