Just from my point of view, I rather like the TurboGT the best. First, it will be a GT type of car, it will be a performance, or GT model, and it just sounds right. These turbo gt's will be put on the street/gym khans contests (sp), and probably many other mini race type of situations. Turbo...
I haven't read, or seen anywhere, one way or another, but looking at the top of this S550, I rather doubt that it'd be an option. If you want open air, buy a ragtop. It's going to be curious just what the Mustang will do for the 2016 and beyond. Unless I back up and build a 67 Plymouth car...
So, what's age got to do with it? You and I are the same age so I can say things like this. Also, today is my 70th birthday and I have no reason to quite looking at high performance.:clap2:
On buying one, I'm on the fence between the GT, 5.0 and the GT Eco-boost 2.3. Having had two turbo 4's now, I know how they work. Turbo lag is almost non existent, and will be even more with this motor, I'm sure. I also realize, that the drivability is going to be completely different between...
One thing to remember is that the economy was doing great during that first generation era. At least since 2008, the economy has been in the tank. Hopefully we can now start to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Ok, maybe.
Actually the Challenger is not all that much bigger now. Longer, yes by 10", but widths are just about the same. Weight, no matter what Ford has, will still be at least 500 lbs less. Which to me is good.
I've been a blue guy for most of my speciality cars. That and odd year cars. I voted for the DIBlue as normal for me. The Guard could get my attention, but like others, I need to see it in life. Next October, it looks like. There's a photo in this blue with a wide black stripe that really...
I was thinking the same thing, this should shut up those that keep talking about cheap, plastic materials that American car companies use. I love that french stitching, that's what we're going to use on my 38 hotrod project.
The Aventador is AWD with a 700hp V12. While Lamborghini claims the car is just under 3600 lbs, I would not be surprised if it was more -- and it should be.
I appreciate the conversation -- we all have different opinions with none of them being wrong, because they are ours. I really do get...
Me too on the Challenger/Barracuda. If they could get down to around 3600 lbs and get to 190" in length, that's be good enough for me. Also I have a couple of years left on my Mini JCW roadster.
Ok, Ford has a much lighter platform for starters, put to use aluminum thru out the car, even in the hood and front fenders. Sure they've gone to the IRS that is usually heavier, but thru the use of aluminum again, I doubt that it weighs any more than the outgoing rear end. There's a lot more...
Why do you say that for? Check out what's available for VWs GTI, Audi, BMW and Mini Coopers: power level increases of 10-20% are available on just a ECU change. Then there are the exhaust improvements for cat backs available. That's just the tip of the iceberg. My guess is that at least 75 hp...
You're probably right, but I like fog lights. But, if you really want to make a bullit for me, then ditch the lower lights, make them a brake vent and put the fog lights in the grille. That I would buy in a heart beat, after my Mini lease is up of course.
And here I thought that none of them had working engines in them. This is the first one that I've seen/heard that actually worked. Does sound nice to go along with the look.
