Yeah, I tried and they said the blocks were on back order and the earliest I would get one would be mid August. I went rpg because they had the block in stock and it should be shipping out this week or next.
I am currently building a rpg level 3 gen 3 coyote. I have a gen 6 3.0 liter whipple and have an opportunity to get a set of comp cam stage 2 big mother thumper cams for half price. I am doing the pac 1281x springs already with titanium retainers, ferea inconel exhaust valves, ford performance...
Was running a mix of vp x98 and pump ethanol and the content was 83% ethanol. I am running the upr catch can, catless longtubes with full 3" ss awe exhaust, ait looked good, only about 20 degrees above ambient temp. No knock that i heard.
Haven't had a chance to pull it apart yet, it happened about 1 in the afternoon yesterday but there's definitely a hole in block in the driver's side and in the oilpan.
Didn't have it dynoed on the latest set up but it should have been in 900's at the tires. I was making about 13.5 lbs of boost on a gen 6 stage 2 whipple with the 3.5" pulley. Catless longtubes, awe switchpath exhaust, fore innovations triple 285 return style fuel system, id1050x injectors...
So unfortunately yesterday I had a catastrophic engine failure. So now I need to decide if I want to go with a predator or a coyote. I want to be safe around 1300 rwhp and honestly never really see myself going past that but I also dont want to pushing the limit of the motor. What are the pros...
I may have to, I really wanted to use lund because I had great results and a good experience with my fbo e85 tune from them but they may tie my hands in the decision. It just sucks because one person says to use a specific tuner and then another person says that same tuner will blow your motor...
I'm currently piecing together my return style fuel system and would like to be able to easily adjust for the ethanol percentage of the e85 in my area as it isn't always consistent. I've been looking at getting the pcmtec tune using a ethanol sensor and a can bus to automatically adjust the...
So I already have the sensor and I will be making the fuel lines around the sensor and motion raceworks bracket. Where do I get that control box and the wiring for it. I cant find where to actually buy they kit only places that sell tunes for it.
So what do you hook the sensor up to for it to communicate to the car that it needs to adjust for the ethanol content? Is this used more on turbo cars than supercharged cars since it's not as easy to change your boost ?
2.75 is showing 20 lbs of boost based on whipples chart. My motor isn't a built motor so I think that is not a realistic amount. I figured a 3.25 pulley would be the max and still probably not super safe because that is showing 16 lbs of boost.
I currently have the dw400 pump that came with my whipple but i'm not wanting to use a bap also lund will not tune any car with a dw fuel pump due to lack of pump reliability. I'm doing what my mechanic recommends and says is the best. And I plan on keeping an extra belt in my car at all times.
Yeah, just wasn't trying to break stuff first time out and be down for the summer. Now i have a fore triple pump fuel system coming so I'll be pulleying it down and bumping up the boost with the e85. Hoping to have a decently quick car
Was shifting in to 4th right before the finish line but I think I can run out third but I only had 500 miles on the whipple, timing chains, tensioners, oil pump gears, and crank sprocket so I was trying to be on the safe side 😆
