So damage report, the rod absolutely disintegrated lol good news is that the head is okay! Just need a built short block, rebuilt heads and we’re golden!
I feel like it would've hit 200k if I went back to the 10psi pulley instead of getting greedy and leaving the 15psi pulley on lol but 250k N/A was not out of the realm of possibility. I'm sure there's 250k + mile 5.0s out there currently.
100%, which makes me think some owners don't know how to maintain them properly or lie about maintaining them. Granted it did live a bit longer than I expected, but got my money's worth regardless!
It WAS my daily driver for like 4 years and drove around 120 miles a day sooooo basically? lol Took it road tripping a couple times as well.
I always get mad when people keep their mustangs garage kept. Shelby's? Understandable, but a 5.0 is meant to be driven and enjoyed, and thats what I did...
As the title suggests, the engine decided to off itself after a hard and well lived 170,000 miles. Not mad at all, if anything I’m 100% satisfied with how long it lived. Been boosted since 100k miles. 100% stock factory long block, still had the stock OPGs/CS. Shot a wristpin out of the block...
So my car is currently around 700whp, looking to cut down on 60-130 times without adding any more power. It is around a 6.8-7.2 second 60-130 time with 3.55s. I would like to cut that down to to at least the low 6s. I know going with 4.56 will eliminate the 2-3-4 shift and only needing a 3-4...
164,XXX miles on mine, ESS G2 (10lbs) on Race Gas, factory OPG/sprocket ~720whp, Lund tuned, LPXHD Clutch, stock (2nd trans, but blew the shift forks at 50k before it was boosted) mt82-d4. Absolutely no issues. But anything above 750-800 and i would maybe change the OPG/sprocket. Rings are...
Anyone having clutch slip issues with a McLeod RST? ESS G2 w/ G3 IC, 115mm Pulley, 91? Had the clutch for about 40-50k miles now so im thinking its toast now that its boosted lol. Pulled really hard when first installed but it seems to be slipping worse and worse each time. Mainly happens when...
120k miles here 2019 5.0, it will last you a really long time as long as you take care of it and do the regular maitenance. Only issues ive had are GDI issues (suspecting bad e85 in my area) and a broken Cam follower. Other than that the engine has not given me any issues. Car has been tuned...
Long story short, I'm on a strict E85 tune (no cats) that i run the car with almost all the time and i've been battling this GDI Injector failure (leaking fuel into the affected cylinder) issue for about a year now.
Similar to @RoyalCrimsonGT's thread, my #2 GDI injector went out, followed by...
