It all started with the guy saying the closed airbox is better than my listed JLT CAI. I guess we can all agree that a larger diameter CAI is better than a closed airbox system.
The whole closed box thing has been debunked. The open cold air intake system is far better for the car and yields decent hp and tq gains for the little money it costs. Obviously, JLT is probably one of the better ones since it requires a tune to run properly
Hey guys,
I was just wondering if anyone has similar mods with a manual 2019 Mustang GT and dyno’d their car. I’m hoping I’m close to 460whp.

X-pipe
JLT CAI
VMP E85 tune

So apparently after taking it to the shop, they replaced my spark plugs with a 1 step colder and told me I had mine gapped a little too big and did a bore scope and compression test and noted that the compression on both sides of the engine are 240, which is perfect. So no mechanical issues…it...
Wouldn’t a cracked piston cause acceleration or idling issues? Like I said before…it runs just fine. I wouldn’t know there was an issue with the car if it wasn’t for that CEL.
yea that is what I’m worried about. The car only has 31k miles which would be surprising if that was the case, I mean I do drive pretty spirited lol. I’m going to take it in to a mustang performance shop here locally where they are going to do a compression test and bore scope.
No surging or buckling issues. Honestly if the code wasn’t there…I wouldn’t think anything is wrong with the car. It’s running just fine. I clear the code and it usually comes back the same day or the following day.
Hey guys,
I own a 2019 Mustang GT (manual) base with the following mods:
JLT CAI
Oil Catch Can
X-pipe/Resonator Delete
VMP E-85 Tune
I have had this CEL on my dash for about a month now and nothing I do seems to make it go away. I ran my SCT tuner device and I got codes P0300, P0301, P05A1...
Well, I shouldn’t really worry about that since I’m in Florida and it’s garage kept. I was wondering maybe the humidity had something to do with it or maybe my local gas station is lying about it being really E85 and it’s more like E75 lol.
Hey guys,
I just got a VMP tune for E85 and the car runs great. However, I been noticing that every now and then the car almost seems like it’s going to turn off when I press the push button…it never shuts off, but it’s never done that before. Is this normal with E85?
