Regarding point 6, Not a bad idea to get front splash guards (e.g. from Jaeger Brothers), and bring them with you for pickup. Can easily be installed on the spot before you take her home.
I would look at it this way. You did get the extended warranty, so while there may be a bunch of issues initially and while it may be a bit painful and time consuming going through addressing them, at least in theory there should be a point where you will know that you have a perfectly fine, OEM...
Thank you for the info. The shop is going to order the proper ones and replace them but unfortunately it seems that the part is backordered with out ETA :-(
In the meantime would (normal) driving with the current part be a concern and cause potential damage?
Hi there,
Basically had to have my front lower control arm replaced.
Went with an independent reputable shop because it was close by but looks like they used an aftermarket part for it (CMS401219).
Already not happy about it being aftermarket vs. OEM but looking further into the part I don't...
2014 Mustang GT Coupe, AT with Brake Performance Package, Metallic Grey
This was my first own new car and I loved it!
Lots of light tinkering with it to get the handling and sound to where I wanted it (Eibach lowering kit with sway bars, lower control arms, relocation brackets, panhard bar...
Hello
I need some parts for my GT500 but am struggling a little bit with identifying the correct ones for the GT500 online.
I’ve found several online sources via google (oemford.parts, parts.ford.com, tascaparts.com, etc.) however except for parts.ford.com I am not sure it properly narrows it...
Agree. The 350 is such a unique car that I think the concept of "upgrading" doesn't really apply in the same way that it would to a more regular car anyway.
It will be hard to fully compare anything against it in the first place but lets just say for arguments sake that even if there where...
Of course not. As @stanglife correctly pointed out above your post, the new "ultimate" Mustang will not launch at the same time as the new generation. Ford's got to milk this generation for all it's worth so you start with the 3 "base" versions and then over the following 7 years or so you throw...
2020-2022 GT500 Base all have the PS4S as well and it puts the power down beautifully. A little bit of spin going through the gears but barely noticeable. Now the GT500 tires are 315 in the rear but given the horse power difference I think yours should be fine as well.
Sounds to me more like a...
😄 Being used to the GT500 rear brakes and calipers it is crazy how small these ones look on the photo.
What's the advantage of the smaller rim, more flex in the tire and hence more surface area/traction for launch?
Howdie! Apologies if this was already answered somewhere else but quick search didn't pull anything GT500 specific up for myself.
After ~1 year of ownership it is time to clean the engine bay. I've seen a video on a regular mustang that stated that these days engine bays are pretty water...
Couple of thoughts on this.
1. Comparable performance wise and on the track? - Likely, minus that "manual feel" of course
2. From a rarity perspective and potential future as a collectible? - Unfortunately not
3. If all that is missing to your Mach one being perfect is the exhaust note, you are...
