So I finished replacing my OPG/CS and when I put everything back together the car starts for like a split second then just burbles down until it dies. I’ve tried starting it while it was jumped to another car. Checked vacuum lines and I get the same result. It’s also weird that it’s not throwing...
UPDATE! Forgot to plug in the wire harness for the crank sensor Plugged it back in and she roars again!!! Really appreciate you Rod for reminding me about the tone ring
So I finished putting everything back together and unfortunately still a no start and same P06E9 code. Only difference I noticed is that when it stops cranking it no longer makes a clunk sound. Anymore ideas?
I did find the tone ring laying around the garage floor.. I was able to put it in back in tonight, just need to put driveshaft and exhaust back in place and connecting the harnesses. I’ll finish tomorrow and report back!
Wow that’s a very good point, I will have to check that as well when I get home.. good thing I haven’t ditched the old flywheel/clutch I’ll have a look and let you know ASAP!
Yea I’ve done so much research about the code and could only find a few of the F-150 threads. I’ve seen that post and that’s actually what made me go buy a brand new (not remanufactured) OEM starter directly from Ford and unfortunately my code is still there and engine won’t start only cranks...
