the BG Syncro Shift was worth the hype. combined with an mgw shifter, a new clutch, and a weighted knob, it completely knocked out all my shifting woes, even at 43k miles with the stock MT82 trans. Had to put a lot of money into it, but i feel like the car is now what i wanted it to be all along.

Same. I’ve only done the Roush AB and love the sound and am glad I didn’t do more because it would have killed the convertible experience by being too obnoxious.

Posting an update... I had the mgw short racing shifter installed, at the same time put in an RST McLeod clutch and the BG synchro shift fluid swap, and raceseng knob. I’m extremely happy and it feels like a whole new car. Totally worth it and I highly recommend. The grinding crunchy shifting...

is the aluminum flywheel likely to be the SAME, MORE or LESS (please select one*) heaviness feel compared to the steel flywheel. I am asking because — like the OP — i too am in a 2016 GT (DD) convertible looking at McLeod RST (need to know* whether to buy aluminum vs steel flywheel) to lighten...

At 42k miles on the stock clutch I have been obsessing over whether to spring for a McLeod RST clutch. With the current clutch grabbing just fine, I don’t feel cost justified just yet. Unless replacing the clutch with a RST would eliminate my 1-2 nibble, then that just might be compelling?

coming from a 2016 GT i have been doing my own rev matches, and would pay up to $500-800 for an OEM total installed

Reviving an old thread.....any update after changing fluid? I've got the 1-2 nibble as well that is engine-temperature-independent. I shift slowly and pause in neutral in between shifts to mitigate. Not cool, makes me feel like I always drive slow off the line...

Thanks, I'm super excited and hoping to find a high quality shop to do the install. No other vehicle I've owned has brought the level of joy that this car has. The stock shifter is the only downside..
