I get you. Don’t get a winter gas mix. The reason I asked about the fuel was that I did run a couple of tanks lower octane and I’ve driven it hard and something seemed to improve and the sound has almost got back to how it used to be...perplexed. I do need to get the car on a dyno again and data...
Quick question, and out of curiosity, apologies if it’s a dumb question, but what does using a lower octane fuel achieve?...
Cats were fine. Car is running lean though, those sparks are like they’re new out of the box after 2k miles now...
compression test done again, I think Bank 2 (left...
Swapped the plugs out with NGK though the original plugs were actually fine so got the set still with me.
Compression and leak down tests were also ok.
going to take it in and get a camera down to take a look at the cats though there are no codes being thrown.
All good, also I always run on 99 octane.
It was running very lean, plus prior to installing a catch can and swapping the PCV valve out it was burning a lot of oil. I’m wondering if the cats are fouled maybe, which is why it sounds better after I’ve booted it and run for a while sometimes?
Yeah it’s not the active exhaust, it’s opening and closing according to exhaust mode set, valves functioning as they should do.
PS it’s not the volume between modes that’s the issue, it’s the fact it’s lost the crispness and burble on all modes (except quiet mode obvs), pops etc are all muted...
Hi,
For a while now the sound of my 2019 Bullitt just seems to have gone quieter, it’s lost its “rumble”, the exhaust tone sounds like one continuous tone, lost its burble and clarity, not as crisp, lost the pops on overrun or they are there but sounds like the whole exhaust or car is enclosed...
The left side front has started to make a squeaking sound whenever I’m turning left (UK RHD Bullitt).
Can hear it when going over any slight bump or vibration, sounds like a family of mice living in the wheel arch area...
Any ideas what this might be or quick way to diagnose? Tie rods, ball...
So waited almost a week for the part and the dealer has ordered the wrong part...apparently the part number is wrong in the UK parts system and told on Friday they’ve sent the actuator for the standard manifold....so another 4 days to a week wait for the correct part as they’re saying there are...
Latest is they’ve placed and order for a new IMRC actuator/control unit...apparently it’s failed or not functioning normally, 4 days wait then will see what the situation is and if it’s resolved the issue.
So the latest from the dealer is that Ford have come back and advised them to swap the left and right flaps in the intake manifold?
Presuming they’re referring to the swirl/tumble flaps in the GT350 intake manifold?
Had it for 2 months, 3.7K miles broken in properly and not ragged it. At what...
