i found a thread that had the same problem from a couple if years ago but there wasn't anything about what caused the tick
2019 Gt has a tick that is constant at idle , when the rpms are up like during a cold start i dont hear it ,but as soon as it idles down it starts. The sound comes from the passenger side valve cover, the insulator for the hp fuel pump is missing but this tick is loud so i dont know if its that...
Clipped a small deer tonight and from what I can see there is no sheet metal damage , but the passenger side headlight is aimed way down now and it won't adjust up , it doesn't look damaged either. Could it be something broke internally on the light?
well I have had my car back since mid October and so far so good , ford has denied a buy back but did offer 7000 cash for my troubles . My lawyer is trying to get more so we will see.
mine was in for 306 days ,now waiting on lawyer to see what compensation I will get from ford, it originally went in for a miss at idle ,it got a new head ,then a new short block then a complete engine. It then needed an engine bay wiring harness
so after 306 days I finally got my car back , I have been driving it for a few weeks with no issues though I still have an attorney going after ford for a buyback or whatever they will do to compensate me for all the hassle I have had to deal with.
they are saying engine harness needs replacing and they are also saying they have no idea when it will be done. The service writer and the warranty manager have both told ford they need to buy the car back but they won't so it is now in an attorney's hands I am tired of dealing with it. 41 weeks!
so the dealership called and said every time they take my car on a test drive the dash lights up like a Christmas tree ,now they are putting a complete wiring harness in the car. I am going on 270 days without my car and ford still won't do a buyback guess it's attorney time.
My 2019 pp1 has been in the shop since Dec 16th of 2020 it has a new engine at this point and at this time it's there because the traction control needs service, the drive modes aren't available, hillstart assist isn't available and last but not least the cruise control wouldn't disengage...
So ford decided to put a complete engine in my car ,got it back and it is running fine,now I have several issues cropping up ,advanced trac needs service ,drive mode selection not available, hill start assist not available which is funny because my car doesn't have hill start assist. The worst...
Ford is refusing the buy back based on South Carolina lemon laws but my argument is that this isn't a lemon law thing it's a they can't fix it thing. I went by the dealership Friday and spoke with the tech ,he said he has no idea what's wrong with it , he said he has spoken with Ford engineers...
well lifters didn't fix it ,new injectors didn't fix it, new coils didn't fix it ,the techs that are working on it have no clue ,so right now it's a new short block, new head on the passenger side and it still has a miss with low compression on 1 cylinder. I have started the buy back process or...
