I've had a few people reach out and figured i'll post up a quick walk through :
Configuration & Programing -> ABS Module Config -> Run Service Proc -> select VIN -> Edit Selected -> write -> stop service proc
Buddy sent me this because I just installed a scrap yard abs module on my s550 and am here to tell you that you CAN update the VIN using forscan. You do have to buy the extended license but it's like $10 for a year. Once you're hooked
it's one of the abs service procs. Can walk you through it...
oh awesome- thanks for sharing. didn't know this, but will have to give it a try before i get my car out to the strip! got a goal of running a 10s qtr by the EOY
not a kit per se, but Livernois makes a upgraded HPFP that allows the car to run e85 w/o port injection. https://www.livernoismotorsports.com/product/LPP501115
I wish running e85 was as simple as swapping injectors and getting a new tune, but the primary issue is our stock hpfp just dones't flow...
can't believe no one has taken you up on this. I'd hop on it if I weren't in Texas.
Try the ecoboost mustang page on facebook, i don't think these forums are very active anymore
Good luck, bud. Just built a 2.0 block from scratch after my rod bearing failure. I know the situation can seem out of a nightmare, so feel free to drop me a DM if you need any help
Also, I've been documenting my rebuild to try and help folks that landed in my situation...
that's not good. I spun a rod bearing, so had to rebuild the engine. I actually just got it running today for the first time in months. Start with checking your oil level. I'd also recommend running a compression test. you can rent a test gauge at your local autoparts store. you'll want to...
Eh, currently in the process of building a motor and it's a PITA. https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/my-hands-are-dirty-15-eb-w-2-0-fusion-shortblock.121209/#post-2530604
been doing this write up to pass the time waiting for parts to come in, but I included a bunch of info on the 2.3...
haha I feel ya. I've only got a puppy and that seems overwhelming at times lol. Was just saying building a block would be the same (if not more) effort than going the CCS route. Unfortunately my car is my daily and a spun a rod bearing forced my hand. There was a long delay on built short blocks...
I'm currently building my own short block and started a detailed thread that touches this idea. https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/my-hands-are-dirty-15-eb-w-2-0-fusion-shortblock.121209/#post-2530604
I initially looked at throwing some darton sleeves into the 2.3 block, but there is still...
no joke on the fuel pump. Can't even replace the electrical connector w/o buying a new pump.
Bought mine in 16 & I've always keep it real with this car. Goals have always been to have fun with it. Pretty much had two options after the rod bearing went- throw a salvaged block in & sell or...
Hope the foot heals up! I think you have a solid game plan w/ the ford tune and a drop in filter. I know your hesitant to drop money into it, but the stock IC truly is trash. The thing will heat soak just getting on the highway. You don't need to go blow a wad of cash on a Levels, ETS, or ATM...
All solid advice. Always involve your tuner and if it's not the plugs, id take a look at the coil packs as KewlWinter mentioned.
any update? Did you pull the plugs and check the gaps?
does it feel like it is switching between stutter/surge 3-4X a second in the upper RPM range? I had the same issue after installing my DP and working on my tune with Ryan a month ago. He called it an ignition advance issue. He recommended checking my AP software to make sure it was up to date-...
