  1. New Engine Build after stock block failure.

Hopefully my current engine is salvageable as I do plan to sleeve that block. I want a spare and or engine for a project later down the road. Since my 16 is/was used for daily duty, I really don't want to go much past 850whp. I'd love a Notch coyote swap but haven't ruled out a 96-04 swap that's...
  2. New Engine Build after stock block failure.

What's the benefit to running these over the Gen 2 stock heads? Always interested in learning something new!
  3. New Engine Build after stock block failure.

I did look on Ebay and Bishop Engine was one of the sellers that offered reconditioned but never seemed to have any in stock and also misrepresented Gen 1 heads as Gen 2. They also misrepresented Gen2 F-150 heads as Gen 2 Mustang heads. I didn't feel like going through a dispute so passed on...
  4. New Engine Build after stock block failure.

$820+ for the heads $500 for core =1320 plus taxes and shipping =$1512 to my door. They were cheaper months ago. I had a quote from Go Hyde Racing for $1360 or so shipped to my door with valve and springs.
  5. New Engine Build after stock block failure.

I haven't seen a single place in months selling them for that amount. I paid 1512 shipped to my door.
  6. New Engine Build after stock block failure.

I HOPE SO! Go Hyde Racing finally had some sets come and I ordered from there at just over $1500. I had a chance to buy in Dec at $1300 but my engine was fine then and I procrastinated.
  7. New Engine Build after stock block failure.

Agreed! A mistake I won't make again hopefully. I'm praying the current motor is salvageable. Especially the heads/cams as finding Gen2 heads was a pain in the poop chute.
  8. New Engine Build after stock block failure.

I'm certain not putting more than my usual 5oz of Boostane premium in the tank that night led to my current situation
  9. New Engine Build after stock block failure.

Temp outside meant it was making more boost than when I dyno'd the car. That and the fact I didn't add any octane booster that night probably didn't help either. I'm doing all stock timings components. Assuming the engine that's coming out is FUBAR I'll build it back over time. The plan was a...
  10. New Engine Build after stock block failure.

I'm praying the blower wasn't impacted. I figured I hurt the heads which is why I ordered new ones. Were you able to get replacement rotors?
  11. New Engine Build after stock block failure.

Oh I learned the hard way on that one. Definitely going to pulley up for 93 going forward. It made similar power in the Roush 2.3/72mm combo on E85. I knew better but pushed it anyway with the 2.65 and 93. Hopefully my engine isn't hurt too bad when it comes out.
  12. New Engine Build after stock block failure.

I have a 2016 Gen2 that was running an 80mm (15psi) on a VMP Gen3r on 93 octane. Ran good (757rw/600tq in 96 degree temps)but when colder temps happened I can only guess the ring lands let go. Was blowing smoke out both PVCs. Decided on a Gen3 shortblock from Modular Head Shop 11:1, Boss...

  15. As of 3/1, Beefcake will phase out all offroad headers. :(

All I care about is whether cars that produce less emissions due to running E85 be granted a wavier or exemption.
