More than likely they just ran out of room on the trailer and so it'll get picked up the next time the truck makes its route through. Your dealer should be able to contact the logistics company and find out where the car is.

I'd just do the chin, side skirts and that's it. I think the wing/mirrors/hood just looks tacky but the bottom skirts would look good.

I'm thinking that's the case since they probably have a wider margin of error to reduce failures and warranty issues. Say, for instance, it's been designed and engineered to handle 700 lbs but they claim 600 lbs as the limit to reduce warranty claims and whatnot.
