My 2016 GT Premium started blowing warm air with the AC on. Also, the compressor whined when AC was on. I took it in to the Ford dealer and they found the Outlet Line from the AC compressor was leaking at the O Ring connection. Most of my refrigerant leaked out. The Ford tech told me that if...
I removed the brace connecting the firewall to the shock towers. Then I removed the fuel line from the plastic retainer on the firewall and rotated the retainer 180 degrees out of the way. Then removed the hydraulic line from the bracket at the bottom of the brake booster and moved it out of...
I ended up getting the wires in the proper position through trial and error, and using alligator clip jumper wires. Once I got them right, the CEL went out and the car idled a lot smoother. Thanks everyone for the help.
I broke the connector going to the 2-wire cam position sensor on the exhaust side at the rear of the driver's side cylinder head. The wires came out of the broken connector so I don't know which way they go. The passenger side wiring is impossible to see.
I ordered a new WPT-986 connector...
Thanks for the responses and attachments. My car is a 2016 GT. This appears to be a 2 Wire cam sensor. One wire is green/ violet , the other is gray/ orange. I believe it is the exhaust cam sensor I broke. When I loosened the sound tube nut, the socket backed into the sensor and got wedged...
I think it is the camshaft position sensor. The car is running very rough without it so I am not going to drive it to the dealer or mechanic. Does anyone know the trick to removing the factory electrical connector on the cam position sensors? There is very little room back there and I can't...
I was removing my sound tube nut off the firewall and I must have broken the wires off a sensor that attaches to the driver's side rear cylinder head facing the firewall. I've attached some photos of the broken wires. Does anyone know what sensor these feed? If so, any ideas on how to get...
Does anyone know the Magnaflow part number for their resonated x pipe for a 2016 mustang gt? I currently have an H pipe and ford racing sport mufflers and want to quiet it down, especially cold start ups. Thanks
There are 6 used entire systems for sale on Marketplace for $100 or less that have very few miles on them. I'm not even considering buying new Ford exhaust over the counter, especially for $1,000.
Let me know if your 2016 OEM exhaust was off of a coupe or convertible, and if it was a 6 speed or automatic. Also, what city in Florida are you in? I'm near Fort Myers. Thanks
Thanks Magony15 for confirming the 8708 numbers on your mufflers. I’m thinking about keeping the h pipe on the car and just switching back to the factory mufflers. It would make things a lot easier because I can’t transport the entire resonator 1 piece system very easily.
I'm just tired of the too-loud exhaust, especially at cold start up. I'm also tired of my neighbors being pissed off at me when I leave early for golf. My Ford Racing Sport mufflers with an H pipe are too much for me.
Thanks, I tried that yesterday and the Ford parts guy gave me the below engineering numbers that he said would be on the mufflers, but they aren't on any of the dozen or so I have seen for sale. The F1-8708 numbers identify the application I believe, but the parts guy had no references to the...
No. If you read page 3 carefully, you will see they tested the K&N separately without the PP first.
Wording from article...
The K&N drop-in panel filter picked up 7.37whp at 6,500rpm and 7.28lb-ft of torque at 4,000rpm. The K&N air filter filled in the stock Mustang’s factory torque dip...
Read this article. A dyno test showed a 19HP increase by only adding a K&N filter to a 2015-17 Mustang GT. I put one on my 2016 Mustang GT, but have no way of knowing if it made it any faster. It feels fast.

I'm trying to learn how to identify the numbers on the L/R mufflers for a 2016 Mustang GT coupe with a 6 speed manual trans. I found out there are different part numbers for a coupe versus convertible, and also different part numbers for Auto trans versus 6 speed. I am seeing the identifier...
